Availability note — October 3, 2026: Potion Making is documented as a limited-time Halloween mechanic from 2025, but its return is not confirmed. The official Roblox experience description currently covers Halloween Part 1 and does not say that potion brewing is live. The steps below explain how the documented 2025 system worked; you may not find its cauldron or ingredients in the current game.
How did potion making work in 99 Nights in the Forest?
In the 2025 Halloween event, the Cauldron appeared beside the camp Crafting Bench. Interacting with it showed the ingredient types and quantities required for a brew. Players gathered and added those items; a successful brew produced one potion and 5 Candies. The mechanic was introduced on October 25, 2025, according to the 99 Nights in the Forest Wiki.
- Find the Cauldron beside the camp Crafting Bench, if it is available in the event you are playing.
- Interact with it to see the requested ingredient types and quantities.
- Gather and add the requested ingredients.
- Collect the potion and 5 Candies after a successful brew.
What ingredients does the cauldron need?
There is no supported fixed recipe list to memorize: the cauldron displayed the items and quantities it wanted, and requests could vary. The available documentation does not establish a complete ingredient list or a fixed ingredient-to-effect chart. Follow the cauldron’s displayed request rather than relying on a claimed universal recipe.
One documented event ingredient: Stareweed
PC Gamer’s 2025 Halloween guide described Stareweed as an event ingredient grown from seeds obtained from the Fairy in exchange for flowers; that guide reported a seed pack cost of 10 flowers. This is a historical 2025 event route, not confirmation that the Fairy, seed packs, or Stareweed are currently available. See PC Gamer’s 2025 Halloween update guide.

What do potions do?
Drinking a brewed potion triggered a random effect: a beneficial Treat or a harmful Trick. The documented mechanic does not support choosing the outcome by selecting particular ingredients, so brew with the expectation that the result may help or hinder you.
Can you make potions now?
Current availability is unconfirmed. The official Roblox experience page, retrieved October 3, 2026, describes Halloween Part 1 and Trick or Treat activities but does not confirm Potion Making. The wiki labels potion making limited-time and says its content was removed after the Halloween event. Together, these sources document the 2025 mechanic but do not establish that it has returned or that its rules are unchanged for 2026.
