When does Frostpunk come out on Switch?
Nintendo’s Brazilian store lists the digital Frostpunk release for October 19, 2026. Nintendo Australia lists October 20, 2026, so the date depends on the regional storefront; neither listing establishes a universal local release hour. Nintendo Brazil’s Frostpunk listing and Nintendo Australia’s listing show the respective dates.

What kind of game is Frostpunk?
Frostpunk is a single-player society-survival and city-management game set in a frozen world. You build and manage what remains of humanity’s last city, using steam-powered technology while balancing heat, resources, infrastructure and the needs of its citizens. Laws shape how the society operates, and expeditions take you beyond the city. The central challenge is not just keeping people alive, but deciding what they must endure to make survival possible.
Is there a Frostpunk Switch demo?
Yes. Nintendo’s Brazilian eShop listing offers a demo download, and Nintendo Life reported on October 6, 2026, that an eShop demo had been released. The listings do not specify the demo’s length or which parts of the game it includes. Nintendo Life’s updated coverage reports the announcement and demo.

What’s included in Frostpunk: Complete Edition on Switch?
Nintendo lists Frostpunk: Complete Edition separately from the base game, with the same October 19, 2026 date on the Brazilian store. Its listing identifies the All Expansions Pack and describes three add-ons: The Last Autumn, On The Edge and The Rifts. The base-game and Complete Edition pages do not provide a verified price comparison.

Nintendo’s current store listing gives these practical details for the Switch release:
- Players: One player on one console.
- Play modes: TV, tabletop and handheld.
- Estimated download: 3.7 GB for Nintendo Switch.
- Languages: Japanese, British English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Korean, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Brazilian Portuguese and Polish.
Nintendo cautions that compatibility and experience on Nintendo Switch Lite can vary. The same listing estimates a 3.6 GB download for Switch 2 and says compatibility behavior is consistent with Nintendo Switch. That wording describes compatibility; it does not establish a dedicated Switch 2 edition or performance improvements. Nintendo’s listing provides the specifications.

Is Frostpunk coming to Switch 2?
Nintendo’s listing describes Switch 2 compatibility as consistent with the Nintendo Switch version. It does not announce a separate Switch 2 edition or enhanced performance. Nintendo Life also reported that Frostpunk 1886, described as a definitive version with substantial new content, is planned for 2027; that is a future announcement, not the Switch release covered here.
