CD Projekt Red says it is aiming to address several performance, visual, audio, rewards and localization issues in the next update for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered, while continuing work on bringing more mods to all platforms. The October 6 statement gives no release date, and it does not guarantee that every listed item will arrive in that update.
What is planned for the next update?
In its October 6 statement, CD Projekt Red said it was aiming to address many of these items in the next update. The studio described ongoing work, not a final patch list: platforms, exact changes and delivery timing are not specified for several items.

- PS5 performance: Further performance improvements are in progress, with particular emphasis on PS5. No frame-rate target or hardware-specific detail was announced.
- Visuals: The studio listed further visual adjustments but did not name the effects, platforms or settings involved.
- My Rewards and Twitch Drops: Fixes for these reward-related issues are planned. The statement does not identify affected users or items, or say whether any corrections will be retroactive.
- Ukrainian localization: CD Projekt Red is working to make Ukrainian localization available in additional regions on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. This is an expansion of regional availability, not an announcement that Ukrainian support itself is new.
- Console voiceover: Console voiceover fixes remain on the prospective list. The statement does not specify which consoles or the precise audio problem.
- More mods: Work with mod.io to bring more mods to all platforms is continuing. This is feature work; the studio gave no mod count or schedule.
What has already been fixed?
CD Projekt Red’s news index lists Patch 5.00b for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Play Anywhere PC, and Hotfix 5.00c for PC, both dated October 1. The platform distinction matters: a PC hotfix is not evidence that the same issue has already been fixed on consoles.
GamesRadar’s October 1 report said the console and Xbox Play Anywhere update addressed lighting issues and unavailable DLSS in Xbox Play Anywhere, among other adjustments. It reported that the separate PC hotfix addressed saving, voiceover volume and a HairWorks performance problem. GamesRadar described that PC download as roughly 5 GB and said the studio was investigating additional reported issues.

The remaining console audio work was still prospective in the October 6 list. GamesRadar had reported on October 1 that CD Projekt Red Global Community and Social Media Director Marcin Momot said: “We plan to have the fix on consoles for the volume issue as soon as…” At that time, GamesRadar reported that no date had been set.
Why are some players still concerned?
The update’s scope includes both fixes and feature work, but some commenters in a Reddit thread reproducing the announcement asked when a patch would arrive or described a crash that blocked progress. One player said a crash recurred during the same fight. These are individual reports, not evidence of how common the problem is or a representative measure of player opinion.

There is also discussion of visual changes, but the available examples do not establish how many players approve or disapprove. It is more accurate to describe visible concerns about bugs, timing and changes than to claim that the community is evenly divided.

CD Projekt Red has not announced a release date in the October 6 statement. It says many of the listed items are being targeted for the next update, but the final scope and platform rollout are also not established. Until the studio publishes patch notes or a dated announcement, treat these items as planned work rather than confirmed features of a specific release.
