The award details and recipient names below are attributed to that report; an official provincial notice confirming them was not available.
What the reported grant covers
Nepal Samaj says the Education Development Division under the Ministry of Social Development, Youth and Sports chose the schools after evaluating proposals submitted under its annual programme for secondary-level STEAM Labs. The grants are intended to support materials, equipment and infrastructure needed to establish and operate the laboratories.
The report does not identify specific equipment, products, vendors, school-level budgets beyond the reported per-school grant, or procurement plans. It describes the programme’s purpose as making science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics learning more practical and technology-friendly.
Education Development Division chief Ghanashyam Poudel told the outlet that the labs are intended to connect science- and technology-related subjects with experiments, tests and practice, helping students build skills beyond theoretical knowledge. Nepal Samaj’s October 6, 2026 report attributes the statement to Poudel.
