A Windows Forum report published October 5, 2026 describes an unofficial Super Mario Bros. Wonder demo running natively on Windows, without a conventional emulator. The project is private, the demo is not publicly downloadable, and its technical and performance claims have not been independently verified. Nintendo lists the game for Nintendo Switch; its reaction to this project is unknown.
What the Windows demo reportedly does
Windows Forum attributes the project to a developer using the name Belmante. The report says it uses static recompilation of the game’s code and an NVN-to-Vulkan graphics translation layer. That is why the report characterizes the demonstration as running natively on Windows rather than through a conventional emulator. The implementation has not been independently inspected or verified. The same report says the demo ran at roughly 60 frames per second on an RTX 3050 laptop, with minor graphical glitches and occasional frame-rate drops. This is a claim about one reported demonstration, not an independently measured benchmark or a prediction for other PCs. The project repository is private, so readers cannot inspect the code or reproduce the test from the reported materials. Windows Forum report Additional project report
Can you download or play it on PC?
No public download or release date is reported. The project is private, so there is no available Windows build that readers can use to check compatibility or performance. The report does not establish that the demo works across PC hardware.
