Valve 的公开说法是：“After our team played through the build and reviewed the content, we gave the developer feedback about why we couldn’t ship the game on Steam, consistent with our onboarding rules and guidelines.”PC Gamer 对 Valve 回应的报道呈现了平台的说法；Santa Ragione 则认为最初的通知没有提供足以识别问题场景的细节。
Epic

Epic 高级传播经理 Brian Sharon 对 GameSpot 表示：“We did a secondary check by filling out the ratings questionnaire for the game ourselves and the content got an Adults Only (AO) rating–which we do not allow on the Store.”Epic 还说明，这次二次检查不是正式提交，因此没有可提供给开发者的评级证书。
Steam | Epic Games Store |
|---|---|---|
