The game launched on May 30, 2025, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC; EA’s current storefront now also presents a 2026 Season Edition and separate 2026 Season Pack, so current listings are distinct from the original launch announcement.
What’s new in F1 25?
The “Race Your Way” deep dive focused on how players can approach races and build an F1 career. Its most distinctive track addition is the reverse layout for three circuits; the headline mode changes include a reworked My Team and the return of Braking Point.

- Reverse layouts for Silverstone, Zandvoort and the Red Bull Ring.
- AI drivers tuned to better reflect overtaking between themselves and against players, according to EA.
- My Team 2.0, which puts the player in charge of a team and lets them choose which of its two drivers to control on race weekends.
- A third Braking Point installment with multiple driver perspectives and alternate endings.
How do the reverse tracks work?
Silverstone, Zandvoort and the Red Bull Ring can be raced in reverse in Grand Prix, Time Trial and Multiplayer. In My Team and Driver Career, reverse layouts become available from the second season onward. EA says it adjusted AI behavior for the changed direction and updated trackside details, including brake boards, grid boxes, replay cameras, marshals and flag wavers.
The deep dive also described AI overtaking tuning informed by pre-release trials with skilled players. This is EA’s account of its development work, not an independently measured finding that the AI performs better for every player or in every situation.

What does My Team 2.0 change?
My Team 2.0 expands the player’s role from driving to team ownership. You manage areas such as Engineering, Personnel and Corporate, recruit two drivers, and decide which one you will drive during each race weekend. EA describes it as a major overhaul of the mode first introduced in F1 2020.
Driver Career remains a separate way to focus on an individual driver, while F1 World offers additional activities. EA’s FAQ also identifies APXGP content among the game’s offerings.
What is in Braking Point and APXGP content?
Braking Point returns for a third installment. At launch, EA described it as a two-season story at fictional team Konnersport, told through different driver perspectives and with alternate endings. Those are EA’s descriptions of the narrative structure, rather than a claim about how much each ending changes the wider game.

At launch, Iconic Edition purchasers were offered a preview chapter, with additional scenarios announced for sale separately beginning June 30, 2025. Those were launch-era offers and should not be taken as current availability; check the edition and add-on details shown for your platform.
How does F1 25 represent circuits and 2025 rules?
Formula 1’s launch announcement said five circuits—Bahrain, Miami, Melbourne, Suzuka and Imola—were digitally scanned using LiDAR, following Silverstone’s introduction in F1 24. Formula 1 described scans made across a race weekend and cited details such as track surfaces and kerb heights. This is the publisher’s description of the scanning process, not an independent accuracy assessment. Formula 1’s launch announcement.
EA’s deep dive also called out two 2025 rule changes represented in the game: a mandatory two-stop rule for Monaco and the removal of the fastest-lap point. EA’s announcement does not establish that these changes apply identically in every game mode or that the game is a complete simulation of all regulations.

When did F1 25 launch, and what is available now?
F1 25 launched on May 30, 2025, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The original deep dive and FAQ discussed launch editions and preorder bonuses; those offers are historical, not a guide to what a buyer can claim today.
EA’s current product page presents a 2026 Season Edition as well as a separate 2026 Season Pack, with 2026 roster and circuit content. Some 2026 content requires the base game, updates, internet access and an EA account, and EA says some content is not included in the base game. Confirm the exact edition, platform and regional storefront terms before buying: a live product page does not establish retailer stock or physical-copy availability. See EA’s current F1 product page.
Can your PC run F1 25?
EA lists Windows 10 64-bit version 21H1 or newer and 100 GB of free storage for both minimum and recommended PC configurations. Its live specifications page is the authority to check before installation because requirements can change.

Which parts matter most for your play style?
- For unusual race formats: try the reverse circuits in Grand Prix, Time Trial or Multiplayer; career modes unlock them from season two.
- For management: My Team 2.0 centers on facilities, staffing, driver recruitment and choosing which team driver to race.
- For a scripted story: Braking Point offers a multi-season narrative, while APXGP content connects to the fictional movie team.
- For a purchase decision: compare the exact platform and edition on offer, then check PC hardware against EA’s live requirements if applicable.
EA’s launch announcement quoted Codemasters Senior Creative Director Lee Mather describing the game as offering more ways to tell an F1 story, from pursuing a championship to engaging with the racing movie. That is promotional positioning, not independent evaluation of the game.
