VGC’s guide describes this as a one-attempt opportunity: if the throw fails, the Pokémon disappears.
How to use the catch window

Enter a Hyperspace Wild Zone and check the mission prompts. VGC reports that the catch-window objective can appear as one of the random missions on entry. VGC’s catch-window guide

Battle the target Pokémon until it is knocked out and stops attacking.

What the catch window means
The phrase refers to the short opening after the Pokémon is knocked out, when it is dizzy and no longer attacking. VGC describes this as the time the Pokémon has its “highest chance” of being caught, but gives no numerical catch rate. Treat that as the guide’s description, not a quantified guarantee or an official Pokémon mechanic explanation.

Where this mission fits in Mega Dimension
Mega Dimension adds story content after the main story of Pokémon Legends: Z-A and introduces Hyperspace Lumiose, which players reach through distortions in Lumiose City. Nintendo’s version 1.0.2 update, released November 5, 2025, fixed a specific issue in which catch attempts always failed if the Pokémon Boxes became full before the first Rogue Mega Evolution battle and the Boxes menu had never been opened before the boxes filled. Nintendo describes this as a fixed issue, not a current general rule. If you encounter a failure, first confirm the target is in the dizzy catch-window state and that you have not already used the attempt described by VGC.
