There is no single settled meaning in everyday recommendations: players may use the phrase for PC-only releases, or more loosely for games with mod support, mouse-and-keyboard play, or a distinctly PC-oriented design. A 2025 roundup defines its scope strictly as games never released on consoles or handhelds and excludes timed exclusives; the reader discussion reflects the looser way players often ask for recommendations. The recommendations below are a cross-genre selection, not an objective ranking. The cited lists do not establish a common scoring system, and a game’s platform status should be checked individually. “Available on PC” also does not mean “PC exclusive.” PlayStation’s official PC catalog and FAQ explain that PlayStation Studios games are sold for PC through Steam and Epic Games, as separate PC and console products. That catalog is localized for Ireland, so its purchase details may not apply in every region. Check PlayStation’s PC games catalog for its current listings.
