The Sony Store Japan application is closed. Its deadline was October 7, 2026, at 23:59 Japan time. If you applied, you can check whether you met Sony’s published conditions against the account you used—but meeting them did not guarantee selection. Sony said it would draw lots if eligible applications exceeded planned stock. If you are checking for a future sale, these were the conditions for this specific application, not a standing rule for every PS5 Pro sale.
Check the four eligibility conditions
Sony’s notice said applicants had to meet every applicable condition. Compare each one with the Sony account you intended to use for the application.

- Japan-registered Sony account: The account had to be registered in Japan and used for PlayStation online services.
- At least 60 hours of logged PS4 and/or PS5 gameplay: Sony counted gameplay on the applying account while signed in, from September 27, 2024, through September 27, 2026, at 23:59. The qualifying period is over; playtime after the cutoff does not count toward this application.
- My Sony ID unified with the applying account’s sign-in ID: Sony said My Sony IDs newly registered on or after January 19, 2022, are already unified. Applicants with an older registration—or without a My Sony ID—were directed to Sony’s sign-in ID unification instructions. Sony said you could sign in on that page to check whether unification was complete.
- Japan residence and agreement to the notice’s terms: Applicants had to reside in Japan. Delivery was limited to Japan.
These are account- and applicant-specific checks. Sony’s public notice cannot show you an individual account’s registration country, qualifying playtime, My Sony ID link status, or residency. Console ownership or gameplay on a different account does not establish that the account used to apply met the criteria. See Sony’s official PlayStation Japan campaign notice for the complete conditions and any updates.
What to check if you applied
Look for Sony’s selection notice
Sony scheduled result emails to begin around October 26, 2026, sent to the email address registered to the applying Sony account. Applicants who linked that account could also receive a notice through LINE. Confirm that you can access the registered email, and check Sony’s live notice for any schedule changes.

If selected, buy by the stated deadline
A selected applicant had to complete the purchase online through Sony Store by November 2, 2026, at 11:59 Japan time, using the same Sony account used to apply. Sony listed credit card, Rakuten Pay, PayPay, and Merpay as payment methods; physical Sony Store locations could not process the purchase. Sony said unused allocations could be offered through an additional lottery from November to eligible applicants who were not selected in the first draw.
Keep the account and order details consistent
Sony limited the offer to one unit per Sony account and prohibited applications or purchases intended for resale. The notice says false registration details, missing the purchase deadline, and certain delivery changes can invalidate an application, selection, or order. Post-order delivery-address changes, carrier forwarding, and distribution-center pickup are not accepted. Check the notice for the full terms that applied to your order.
