Its picks covered major releases across action-adventure, RPG, shooters, racing and sports games, but the prices may have changed since publication. Valve’s announced Steam sale calendar currently names an Autumn Sale from October 1–8, 2026 and a Winter Sale from December 17, 2026 to January 4, 2027; it does not list a 2026 Steam Black Friday sale.

The following are the prices Tom’s Guide listed in its November 28, 2025 Black Friday roundup. They are historical reference points, not verified Steam prices today. Availability and prices can vary by region, and the roundup does not establish the current discount for any game.

How to choose among the picks
The roundup spans several kinds of games, so the best choice depends less on the lowest historical price than on what you want to play and what your PC can run.

- Racing and sports: F1 25, EA Sports FC 26, and Madden NFL 26.

Before purchasing a demanding PC release, check its Steam store page for system requirements and any compatibility information relevant to your hardware. A discount does not make a game a good fit if your PC cannot run it well.
When is the next Steam sale?
Valve’s announced 2026 calendar lists the Steam Autumn Sale for October 1–8 and the Winter Sale for December 17, 2026–January 4, 2027. The official calendar does not currently list a Steam-wide Black Friday sale for 2026. Valve describes its seasonal schedule in Steamworks documentation: “Four times a year, we run Steam-wide seasonal sale events.”

That does not rule out individual game discounts around Black Friday. In 2025, a Steam Community post reproducing Steamworks wording said Steam would not run its own Black Friday sale, but would theme its Discounts and Events page with Black Friday offers from November 24 through December 1. That is historical context for 2025 only; it does not confirm Steam’s plans for November 2026.
How to get notified when a game is discounted
Steam’s documentation says users who wishlist a game can receive an email when it receives a seasonal discount of at least 20%. Add games you are interested in to your wishlist, then make sure Steam email notifications are enabled on your account. Discount timing is also subject to Steam’s release and price-change cooldown rules, so a developer cannot necessarily schedule a discount immediately after every price change or release.

Do you need a handheld or gaming PC to use these deals?
No. The games are digital Steam purchases; buying new hardware is not a requirement. Tom’s Guide’s November 2025 article also mentioned the Lenovo Legion Go S with SteamOS (Ryzen Z2 Go), gaming laptops, and desktops in a separate hardware section. Those were additional product opportunities, not prerequisites for buying or playing the games. Confirm a device’s exact model, availability, price, and compatibility before considering it.
