Check the listing in your own region before relying on access: Xbox Wire announced the game was included with Game Pass, but the Store page is the source that names the tiers. The Store page reviewed on October 7, 2026, still said “Coming to.”
Which Game Pass tiers does the Xbox Store list?
On the US Xbox Store page, Valor Mortis appears under subscriptions for PC only and Ultimate. The page also lists the game for Xbox Series X|S and PC, and identifies it as an Xbox Play Anywhere title. These are the Store’s listed options, not confirmation that every Game Pass plan or every regional catalog includes the game.
Check the Xbox Store listing for Valor Mortis and confirm the subscription options shown for your region and device. Catalog entitlements can change, so use the current page rather than assuming a tier will include the game based on a general announcement.
How to check your tier and device
- Open the Valor Mortis page in the Xbox Store. Sign in if prompted, and use the Store for your country or region.
- Look for the subscriptions or Game Pass section. Compare the named tiers there with the plan shown in your own account; the US page reviewed on October 7, 2026 listed PC only and Ultimate.
- Check the platform and device details. The US listing names PC and Xbox Series X|S, but the subscription label matters: a PC-only listing is not evidence of console access through that tier.
- Check whether the game is available to play rather than merely listed. On October 7, 2026, the Xbox Store status was “Coming to,” so the listing did not establish that it could already be downloaded or played.
Why Xbox Wire’s announcement is not enough to identify your tier
Xbox Wire’s June 7, 2026 Xbox Games Showcase recap said Valor Mortis was included with Game Pass and announced it for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, and cloud. That announcement establishes Game Pass inclusion generally, but it does not name the eligible subscription tiers. For tier-level detail, consult the Xbox Store listing. The Store page reviewed for this article was the US listing; availability and entitlements may differ elsewhere.

Check the release date before planning to play
The original September 24, 2026 date announced by Xbox Wire and publisher Lyrical Games has been superseded. The Xbox Store page reviewed on October 7 still showed “Coming to,” so check the listing again for current availability.

Subscription access or a separate purchase?
If the Store lists a subscription tier you already have, subscription access may suit you if you expect to play while the game remains available in the catalog. A separate purchase may make more sense if you prefer owning a copy or do not have an eligible listed subscription. Compare the cost over the period you expect to play with the current purchase price and subscription terms in your region. A retail purchase is separate from Game Pass access and does not itself grant a subscription entitlement.
