To redeem an item reward code in Disney Dreamlight Valley, open Settings > Help, enter the full code, and select Claim! Check your in-game mailbox for the reward if the event says it will be delivered there. A Touch of Magic design is different: it is made with the game’s customization tools, not entered in the reward-code box.
Which kind of code or design do you mean?
Disney Dreamlight Valley has separate workflows that can sound similar. Use this guide to identify the one you need:

How to redeem a Disney Dreamlight Valley reward code
- Open Disney Dreamlight Valley and open the in-game Settings menu.
- Select Help.
- Enter the complete reward code and select Claim!
- Check your in-game mailbox if the event instructions say the reward is delivered there.
The game’s July 31, 2025 Social Treasure Hunt instructions specify the Settings > Help route and claiming the full code. A June 2026 event page likewise directs players to Settings > Help and says claimed items will be sent to the in-game mailbox. These menu steps do not mean every code remains active: event codes can be limited by availability period. Official event instructions
Example of a dated event code
The June 2, 2026 Pride event page listed DDVPRIDE2026 for a Round Rainbow Garden and Butterfly Tiara, with availability beginning June 3, 2026. This illustrates the format and redemption path; it is not confirmation that the code is still redeemable. Check the event page or in-game message for current availability. Official Pride event page

How to import an Avatar Designer Tool code
An Avatar Designer Tool code imports an avatar; it is not the same as an item reward code. The official walkthrough, published September 3, 2022, describes generating an Avatar Code in the Avatar Designer Tool and then choosing Import Avatar during new-game character creation. For an existing in-game avatar, it gives the path Settings > Help > Import Avatar. Enter the code in uppercase, without extra spaces. The walkthrough also says that only the Touch of Magic tool design worn on the final avatar would be ported; designs not worn would not transfer through that process. This is a condition of avatar porting, not a way to redeem a Touch of Magic design as an item reward. Official Avatar Porting Walkthrough

How to create and share a Touch of Magic design
Touch of Magic is the game’s customization feature for clothing and furniture. The official Remembering update describes using the tool, textures, and collected motifs to create furniture designs, while the Boutique announcement describes custom clothing and furniture designs. Those official sources do not document entering a code to apply a Touch of Magic design. Official game announcements
Daisy’s Boutique lets players display custom clothing and furniture designs. During a Valley Visit, another player can interact with a display to save a design to their own collection slots. The official Boutique announcement says designs from other players’ Valleys are not visible to players on Disney Dreamlight Valley Arcade Edition. Official Boutique announcement

Touch of Magic designs and DreamSnaps
The original DreamSnaps introduction in 2023 said Touch of Magic clothing or furniture could not be featured in DreamSnaps images and warned that a Touch of Magic item in the frame could prevent submission. June 2024 patch notes later added a camera toggle to make Touch of Magic furniture invisible during DreamSnaps submissions. Because these instructions reflect different update dates, check the current submission requirements and camera options in-game rather than assuming the original restriction is unchanged in every detail.
