Choose how you want to play
Single-player story
Play as Michael Myers across six chapters based on events from the original film. Optional secondary challenges and collectibles add lore, scenarios, executions, and some multiplayer cosmetics. IllFonic’s game overview describes the story and progression.
Online multiplayer
Online matches pit one player as Michael against four Heroes of Haddonfield. Michael hunts residents; the Heroes work to help residents escape. Steam lists online PvP and online co-op among the supported features. Steam’s store listing describes supported play and PC requirements.
What to do in a multiplayer match
Playing as Michael
Stalk and eliminate residents. Some targets offer greater rewards if killed before time runs out. Killer Sense helps locate and track prey by building Stalk. Shape Jump lets Michael move unseen, but IllFonic says it can only be entered or exited in darkness or when a resident cannot see him. The official multiplayer overview explains these mechanics.

Playing as a Hero
Find other Haddonfield residents, convince them that Michael is dangerous, and guide them to one of the randomized escape routes. Starting an escape makes noise and can reveal your location. Residents and authorities can resist Michael; the game’s Steam description says players can use household items and weapons, alert authorities, and command or equip NPCs. Steam’s game description outlines these options.
The official gameplay descriptions explain objectives and several mechanics but do not provide a complete button-by-button control chart. For platform-specific prompts, check the controls menu in the game; prompts can vary by platform and input device.

How to get the Halloween 5 DLC
IllFonic’s October 5, 2026 update lists the Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers skin as paid Michael-skin DLC for $9.99, announced for purchase on October 27, 2026. The announcement says to purchase it; it does not describe a challenge, achievement, or other gameplay unlock. See the official update.
Because the announced release date is still in the future as of October 7, 2026, you cannot yet obtain the skin based on the announcement. Once it is available, buy it through your platform’s storefront and use that platform’s installation and in-game equipment flow. IllFonic’s announcement does not specify step-by-step storefront or loadout instructions, and availability or purchasing steps may differ by platform.

Do not confuse the skin with progression rewards
IllFonic says players earn XP by completing matches or story mode, with progression unlocking abilities, starting items, cosmetics, challenges, and other rewards. The official progression overview does not identify the Halloween 5 skin as one of those earned rewards. Check IllFonic’s progression overview.
The free Halloween 5-inspired map
Tower Farm is a separate map inspired by Halloween 5 and described by IllFonic as free for players who own the game. It moves the 1v4 setting to a farming community featuring roads, cornfields, farm buildings, a trailer park, and pumpkin gardens. It is not the paid Michael skin. The official October update describes the map and its availability.

Platforms, editions, and PC requirements
IllFonic announces digital availability on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Epic Games Store. Its official site says PS5 and Xbox Series X physical editions launched October 6, 2026. The physical-edition page describes advance-access cosmetics that can also be earned through challenges, but does not say the Halloween 5 skin is included. The available official information does not confirm the skin is bundled with a base or collector’s edition. See IllFonic’s platform and edition information.
For Windows PC, Steam lists Windows 11 64-bit, 16 GB RAM, GTX 1660+ / RX 590+ / Arc A770+ graphics, and 45 GB storage as minimum requirements; recommended memory is 32 GB. Requirements and regional offerings can change, so check the current listing before buying. Steam system requirements.
