What kind of game is it?
The Crew Motorfest is an open-world driving game set in Hawaii. Its themed playlists and campaigns explore different eras and styles of car culture, with customizable vehicles, solo play and community-created tracks through TrackForge.
The game has continued to grow as a live service. Ubisoft’s overview, accessed October 7, 2026, describes Year 4 content including a new island, a playlist, seasonal vehicles and a Tomb Raider DLC pack. Those details describe the broader live game; they do not establish which paid add-ons or edition contents will be included with the Switch 2 release in every region.

Ubisoft’s current overview describes more than 800 vehicle models from over 50 manufacturers, while Nintendo’s Switch 2 description says more than 700 vehicles across cars, bikes, planes, boats and other types. These are publisher and regional listing figures for a game that changes over time, not a confirmed Switch 2 launch-day vehicle count. Ubisoft also says players can import almost all unlocked vehicles from The Crew 2 for free.

How much storage does the Switch 2 version need?
Nintendo Australia lists the game file at 58.5 GB. That is the regional listing’s estimated required space; the amount available on your console determines whether you need additional storage. A compatible microSD Express card is an option if you need more room, not a requirement for every owner. Nintendo says Switch 2 supports microSD Express cards.
Check the Nintendo listing for your region before downloading, since the 58.5 GB figure comes from Nintendo Australia’s product page. The Australian eShop also lists a Deluxe Edition bundle with the base game and Fitted Ultimate Pack, which contains vehicle and cosmetic items; that regional digital bundle does not establish what is included in a physical copy or other territories’ editions.

Yes. Ubisoft says an online connection is required to play. Nintendo Australia additionally lists a Ubisoft account and an internet connection as requirements. Its listing says online play requires a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership; the membership requirement is specifically stated for online play.
