What do SR and SSR rarity labels mean?

Those labels distinguish players in the roster, but the available sources do not establish a complete official rarity scale or explain what each level guarantees. They also do not document whether or how rarity can be advanced, how it affects a player’s final stat ceiling, or what upgrade and duplicate-investment rules apply.
For exact details about an individual player, check that player’s current in-game screen or official support material. Avoid assuming that rules from Captain Tsubasa: Dream Team apply: Captain Tsubasa: Ace is a separate mobile game with its own roster and systems.
How should you evaluate a player’s stats and skills?
Start with the job you need the player to do. Compare candidates for the same position, then consider the stats and skills relevant to that role and the other players currently available for it. A high rarity label by itself does not show that a player is the better fit.

Why does a player’s development path matter?
The official App Store listing says that different training paths for the same player can influence on-field performance and skill strategies. That means two versions of the same player may suit different approaches, depending on how they are developed. Compare the path you intend to train—not only the player’s name or rarity—when choosing whom to invest in.

Captain Tsubasa: Ace offers two modes with different emphases, according to its official listing: Dream League centers on strategic formations, while Ace Showdown focuses on real-time actions. Consider the mode and role you are building for when comparing players. A ranking or recommendation that does not account for your intended use may not settle which player is right for your lineup.
