LEGO Harry Potter Collection is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on October 16, 2026, according to Nintendo’s US store listing. The compilation bundles remastered LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1–4 and Years 5–7. The release arrives ahead of the upcoming HBO Harry Potter series, which official Harry Potter coverage says is expected around Christmas 2026—but the game is not described as an adaptation or tie-in.
When does LEGO Harry Potter Collection release on Switch 2?
Nintendo’s US store lists LEGO Harry Potter Collection for Nintendo Switch 2 with a release date of October 16, 2026. The listing names WB Games as publisher and TT Games as developer. Nintendo’s US listing is the date reference for that territory.
What is included in the collection?
The collection brings together remastered versions of two games: LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1–4 and LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5–7. It covers both halves of the LEGO Harry Potter game series in one Switch 2 collection, rather than being identified as a new game based on the forthcoming television series.
Will there be a physical Switch 2 edition?
A packaged version is planned for Japan. Sega’s announcement, dated September 2, 2026, gives October 16, 2026 for the digital release and October 29, 2026 for the packaged release. The October 29 date is specific to Japan; the announcement does not establish a physical release date for other regions. Sega’s announcement distinguishes the two Japanese editions.

How does it compare with the HBO Harry Potter series?
The game and HBO series are separate franchise releases. The official Harry Potter showcase roundup says the upcoming HBO Original series is expected around Christmas 2026 and separately lists the LEGO collection’s October 16 Switch 2 arrival. It does not say that the game adapts the series or is directly connected to it. The official showcase roundup provides the timing context, but not region-specific streaming details.
