Square Enix describes the new bundle as “a streamlined, all-in-one bundle” in its June 10, 2026 announcement.
How to choose the right version
- For a current-generation console: the native PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2 collection is scheduled for October 8, 2026. Its physical edition for PS5 and Switch 2 also requires an internet connection to download additional data.
- For the original Switch: distinguish the cloud versions of the older collections from the separately listed Melody of Memory. Cloud play depends on a stable connection and may vary by region.
- For PC: the existing collection releases are listed on Steam and Epic Games Store; Epic is the listed PC storefront for Melody of Memory. The Microsoft Store Windows entry is for the new collection scheduled October 8.
- For the broadest story package: Collection [I~III] combines 1.5+2.5 ReMIX, 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind. Remember that the bundle’s cutscene compilations and movie are not full playable games.
What is not currently available
Kingdom Hearts IV is an announced future game, not part of the currently available catalog. Square Enix’s announcement gives it a late-2027 release window and names Nintendo Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC among its platforms.
