Use a tier list to identify heroes worth considering, then choose a team around the roles and ability interactions your activity calls for. A high placement is not a guarantee that a hero fits every lineup, and rarity alone is not a reliable team-building rule.
What the current tier list can—and cannot—tell you
Pocket Gamer’s Rumble Heroes tier list was updated October 5, 2026, for version 2.2.135. It groups heroes into S, A, B, and C tiers, making it a useful shortlist of candidates to investigate. It is an editorial ranking, not an official developer ranking or a universal measure of performance.
The guide also cautions against treating rarity as a complete proxy for usefulness: some Epic and Rare heroes can be strong in particular compositions. A lower-listed hero may still solve a specific team problem, while a highly ranked one may duplicate a role you already have.
Choose for the job your team needs done
Before comparing individual heroes, identify which functions your lineup needs. The current guide gives examples of abilities that can contribute value in more than one way:
#1 Best Overall

- Survivability and healing: Holy Mace Paul combines area damage with healing.
- Damage and debuffs: Big-Sickle Jennifer applies bleed, an effect the guide notes can help against bosses.
- Control and team support: Ice Bobo offers frostbite crowd control and an attack increase for allies.
These are examples of situational value, not a prescription for every team. Ask whether an ability covers a gap, strengthens an interaction, or simply repeats something another hero already provides.
Check whether the activity rewards the interaction
Hero value can depend on the activity’s mechanics. Official update notes illustrate why: on May 29, 2025, the game described Frozen Shield Arthur as able to taunt nearby enemies, shield allies, and boost attack. Notes dated June 27, 2025, described Flameblade Ken as applying burn and bleed, and a season-specific Abyss ally as growing stronger when allies inflict burn.

Those examples establish skill descriptions and past seasonal interactions, not that the same season rules apply in 2026 or that these heroes outperform alternatives. Check the current activity and season rules before building around a conditional effect.
A practical way to compare heroes
- Identify the role. What does the candidate add: healing, damage, area coverage, control, a debuff, or another useful function?
- Look for a gap. Does that function address a weakness in your lineup, or duplicate a job already covered?
- Check ability interaction. Consider whether damage types, debuffs, healing, or control complement another hero’s ability.
- Match the activity. Ask whether the mode or current season rewards that role or interaction.
- Use the tier as a tie-breaker, not a command. When two candidates fill the same need, their current ranking can help you decide which to try first.

Keep rankings in version context
Rumble Heroes is a single-player mobile action RPG centered on recruiting and raising heroes with different skills, exploration, dungeons, and equipment progression, according to its Google Play listing, which showed an update date of September 29, 2026. Because the tier guide names a specific game version and update date, check that context again after balance or content updates rather than treating its placements as permanent.
The official patch notes establish what certain abilities do, while the tier list supplies editorial rankings. The cited sources provide no controlled hero-performance tests or official win-rate data, so a tier placement should not be read as a measured success rate.
