If you’re excited for Physint, start with Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater for tactical Cold War espionage. For a more gadget-focused stealth thriller, try Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist; for a cinematic James Bond adventure, check the current release status of 007 First Light.
What to know about Physint
Kojima Productions announced PHYSINT in January 2024 as a new action-espionage game. In September 2026, Xbox announced an expanded partnership to publish it, and Kojima Productions confirmed Xbox as its new publishing partner. That supersedes older coverage describing the game as a PlayStation exclusive. The official announcements cited here do not give a release date. Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater is the closest match for tactical espionage
If the words “action-espionage” in the Physint announcement are what caught your attention, this is the most direct pick of the three. Konami describes Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater as a survival stealth-action remake of the 2004 game, set during a Cold War crisis. Its emphasis on stealth and survival makes it a closer thematic fit than a gadget-first thriller or a Bond-style adventure.

Konami’s European product page lists PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC/Steam, with an August 28, 2025 release date. Splinter Cell: Blacklist puts gadgets at the center of infiltration
Choose Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist if you’re more interested in scouting and planning an approach than in a survival-stealth setup. Ubisoft highlights a snake camera and micro tri-rotor drone that can scout areas, mark targets, distract enemies, or attack. That equipment-led approach gives it a different spy feel from Snake Eater.

007 First Light is the best fit here if what you want is a James Bond-style mix of stealth, combat, driving, and gadgets rather than a direct stand-in for Physint. IO Interactive announced it as a standalone reimagining of Bond’s origin.

IO Interactive’s June 2025 announcement named PS5 and a 2026 release window. Because that window is time-sensitive, check the publisher’s current listing before treating the game as either upcoming or released.
