Try Splinter Cell for a different kind of stealth
Splinter Cell is a separate stealth-shooter series, not a continuation of Metal Gear’s story or characters. Ubisoft’s description of the announced remake emphasizes a linear structure and a methodical approach: observe the situation, plan, use gadgets, and outsmart enemies. That makes it the option here for someone who wants stealth missions without expecting Metal Gear’s continuity or broader series history. Ubisoft’s remake page
Ubisoft Toronto creative director Chris Auty described the series’ stealth ideal this way: “Ideally, they end up coming out on the other side with no one having realized you were even there. That’s the essence of Splinter Cell.” His development interview said development was in its earliest stages when published. It does not establish current release availability or a date, so treat the remake as an announced project, not a game with a confirmed launch.
