If you want 60 fps at 1440p on High, Naughty Dog’s published target calls for a substantially faster CPU and graphics card. These are dated target configurations, not guaranteed results on every PC or in every scene.
This guide covers UNCHARTED: Legacy of Thieves Collection, the PC collection of UNCHARTED 4: A Thief’s End and UNCHARTED: The Lost Legacy. The right settings depend on your resolution, frame-rate goal, and hardware; there is no single preset that is best for every system.
Match your PC to an official performance tier
Naughty Dog published these target configurations on September 28, 2022. Treat them as starting points rather than independently verified benchmarks or guarantees.

Choose a resolution and frame-rate goal
- Older or entry-level hardware: If your PC is near the listed minimum, use 720p and Medium as the initial target. The official minimum tier is built around 30 fps, not 60 fps.
- Recommended-tier hardware: Begin at 1080p, High, aiming for 30 fps. This is the official recommended configuration.
- More capable hardware: Use the 1440p/60 High tier as a reference if your CPU and GPU are around the Performance tier.
- High-end hardware: The official Ultra tier pairs 4K, Ultra, and 60 fps with considerably stronger components.
If your hardware sits between tiers, use the closest one as a baseline and adjust to your actual results rather than assuming a GPU name alone determines performance.
Adjust settings methodically when performance falls short
- Start with the preset for your target. Choose Medium or High as a baseline according to the relevant tier. Do not assume an Ultra preset is appropriate simply because the game launches.
- Test a repeatable gameplay scene. Play the same area after each adjustment so that changes in the scene do not obscure whether a setting helped.
- Try FSR 2 if native resolution misses your target. The PC feature page confirms support for FSR 2 temporal upscaling, which is intended to boost frame rates on compatible graphics cards. It does not promise a particular uplift or establish one universally best quality mode. See PlayStation’s PC features page.
- Lower visual options one at a time if needed. The game offers adjustments for texture and model quality, anisotropic filtering, shadows, reflections, and ambient occlusion. The official feature information does not rank their performance costs or give a guaranteed FPS gain for any individual option.
- Keep track of changes. Compare each result with your target, and revert settings that reduce image quality without solving the performance problem.
Check storage and installation basics
The official minimum tier permits an HDD but recommends an SSD; the 1080p High and higher tiers list SSD storage. Moving the game to an SSD is therefore a reasonable storage choice if it is on an HDD, but the published specifications do not say an SSD will increase frame rates.

If you are troubleshooting instability or performance problems, verify the game installation and check for available updates. Naughty Dog’s PC version 1.1.20381 notes, dated October 28, 2022, list “General stability & performance improvements.” That historical note does not establish which version is currently latest: PC Version 1.1.20381 release notes.

Do not confuse the PC graphics tiers with the console collection’s Fidelity, Performance, and Performance+ modes. Naughty Dog describes those modes as console display options: Fidelity targets 30 fps, Performance 60 fps, and Performance+ 120 fps with a compatible 120 Hz display. The PC specifications instead pair hardware with resolution, frame-rate targets, and graphics presets. See Naughty Dog’s console display-mode guidance.

PlayStation also lists 4K and ultrawide monitor support, GPU and VRAM detection and management options, and the adjustable graphics settings described above. These features do not amount to a universal prescription for every current graphics card.
