Choose Knight if you value defense and party protection, Mage if you want magic attacks with healing and support options, or Archer if you prefer physical damage and critical-hit effects. There is no source-supported universal best class: the detailed skill examples available are from 7Road references dated November 2021, and Wartune Ultra has changed class skills in later patches. Use the current in-game descriptions to confirm what each class does in your build.
Compare the classes by what you enjoy
The table is a preference guide, not a performance ranking. It summarizes examples in the official 7Road post-knighthood skill references; those pages do not establish current skill values, win rates, or superiority in a game mode.

Choose Knight for defense and party protection
The cited Knight skill reference includes Fidelity, a party shield, and Blade Barrier, which reduces damage for the party. It also lists blocking-related passives and attacks aimed at front- or back-row targets. Knight is therefore defense-oriented, not a class limited to absorbing damage; the reference also shows offensive options.
Choose Mage for magic damage with support options
The cited Mage reference pairs attacks against one enemy or an enemy group with healing options such as Healing Hands and Brightly Shining, as well as a party-shield effect. That combination makes Mage a fit if you want magical offense and the option to support allies. It does not mean every Mage must play as a dedicated healer.

Choose Archer for physical attacks and critical-hit synergy
The cited Archer reference includes Aimed Shot against one target, Multi Shot against two random enemies, and heavier focused attacks such as Fatal Strike and Raid Shot. It also describes effects triggered by critical hits, including party recovery or increased party damage. These examples support a physical, crit-oriented playstyle, but do not establish Archer as the strongest damage class.
Account for patches and Class Mastery
Class skills have changed over time. Wartune Ultra Patch V1.11, dated April 8, 2024, adjusted skills for all three classes, including Mage’s Damnation and Purification, Archer’s Scatter Shot and Poison Arrow, and Knight’s Intercept, Delphic Destroyer, and Indomitable. The specific skill examples above come from older 7Road references, so do not treat their full lists or coefficients as guaranteed current Ultra mechanics.

Patch V2.1.1, dated November 4, 2024, introduced Class Mastery at level 55. Its notice says players can study codices from other classes, learn some skills from them, and place active skills from other classes on the battle skill bar. This can broaden options later, but the notice does not say that initial class choice is irrelevant or that classes can be freely changed.

- Decide what you want your turns to feel like. Prioritize durability and party protection for Knight, magical attacks with healing or support choices for Mage, or physical attacks and critical-hit effects for Archer.
- Check the live skill descriptions. Compare the skills available to your character in Wartune Ultra rather than relying on older ability lists or percentages.
- Revisit your options when you reach Class Mastery. At level 55, the V2.1.1 notice describes access to some cross-class skills; check the current game for which codices and skills are available to you.
These sources do not establish a best class across PvP, PvE, or other modes, nor do they provide comparative performance statistics. Pick the role and attack style you will enjoy, then let the current in-game skill descriptions guide any finer distinctions.
