Xbox Wire’s June 20, 2025 preview scheduled TMNT: Splintered Fate for June 24 and System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster for June 26. Those were planned dates for the June 23–27 release window, not the dates now shown on Xbox Store pages: the listings give July 8, 2025 for Splintered Fate and July 10 for System Shock 2. The two games also offer very different kinds of co-op: a randomized, Turtle-led action roguelike versus a first-person sci-fi FPS/RPG.
What games were coming to Xbox in late June 2025?
Xbox Wire’s weekly roundup, published June 20, covered games expected during the June 23–27 window. It listed TMNT: Splintered Fate for June 24 and System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster for June 26, while noting that release dates could change. Xbox Wire’s June 20 preview is the source for those original dates.
The current Xbox Store listings show later release dates. That makes the June schedule a preview of what Xbox expected at the time, rather than a record of when the games ultimately arrived on Xbox.
| Game | Xbox Wire’s planned date | Current Xbox Store release date | What it is |
|---|---|---|---|
| TMNT: Splintered Fate | June 24, 2025; listed in the June 20 preview for the June 23–27 window | July 8, 2025 | Randomized action roguelike featuring the four Turtles |
| System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster | June 26, 2025; listed in the June 20 preview for the June 23–27 window | July 10, 2025 | First-person sci-fi FPS/RPG set aboard the Von Braun |

What kind of game is it?
The remaster retains the game’s first-person sci-fi FPS/RPG identity: players explore the Von Braun and confront SHODAN. These are Xbox Store-listed features; the listing does not establish a particular resolution or performance result for every Xbox model.

Is there an Xbox physical edition?
The cited Xbox Store listing is digital. Atari documents physical editions for Nintendo Switch and PS5, including standard and Big Box editions; that information does not establish an Xbox disc release. See Atari’s physical-edition page for the supported platforms and formats. Nightdive Studios also provides digital platform purchase links on its official game page.
When did TMNT: Splintered Fate come out on Xbox?
The Xbox Store lists TMNT: Splintered Fate for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S with a July 8, 2025 release date. The June 24 date in Xbox Wire’s June 20 roundup was the earlier planned date, not the current Store date.

Can you play Splintered Fate co-op?
Yes. The Xbox listing describes local and online co-op for two to four players. The game uses randomized roguelike runs: players choose one of the four Turtles, develop a build, and take on changing challenges. The Turtles’ distinct powers shape how a run plays, while co-op lets players tackle the action together.
What editions and add-ons are listed?
The Xbox Store lists multiple digital editions and paid add-ons, including Casey Jones & the Junkyard Jam and character DLC. The Casey Jones offer mentioned in the June 2025 roundup was a short-lived launch-period offer tied to July 8, 2025; it is historical, not an active offer. Check the current Xbox Store listing for present edition and add-on availability.
