Defeat Chaos Witch Quelaag, keep her soul, upgrade a curved sword to +10, then take both to the Giant Blacksmith in Anor Londo. Use the blacksmith’s weapon-ascension option to create Quelaag’s Furysword for 5,000 souls.
What you need to make Quelaag’s Furysword
- The Soul of Quelaag, dropped when you defeat Chaos Witch Quelaag.
- A curved sword upgraded to +10. A Falchion or Scimitar will work; the weapon must be a curved sword.
- 5,000 souls for the Giant Blacksmith’s crafting fee.
How to obtain the weapon
- Defeat Chaos Witch Quelaag. She drops the Soul of Quelaag.
- Keep the soul. Do not consume it or trade it for another boss-soul weapon if you want the Furysword.
- Upgrade a curved sword to +10. For example, bring a Falchion or Scimitar to the required upgrade level.
- Go to the Giant Blacksmith in Anor Londo. Choose the weapon-ascension or modify-weapon option, select the eligible +10 curved sword and the Soul of Quelaag, then pay 5,000 souls.
Do not use a katana for this recipe
A +10 katana paired with the Soul of Quelaag makes the Chaos Blade, not Quelaag’s Furysword. The two recipes use the same boss soul but require different weapon classes: a +10 curved sword for the Furysword and a +10 katana for the Chaos Blade. Decide which weapon you want before spending the soul.

Other ways to use the Soul of Quelaag
If you do not craft a weapon with it, the Soul of Quelaag can be consumed for 8,000 souls or fed to Kingseeker Frampt for 10,000 souls. Those are alternate uses of the boss soul; the Furysword’s 5,000-soul cost is the separate fee paid to the Giant Blacksmith.
What the Furysword does
The Dark Souls Wiki transcribes the in-game description as: “A curved sword born from the soul of Quelaag, daughter of the Witch of Izalith, who was transformed into a chaos demon. Like Quelaag’s body, the sword features shells, spikes, and a coating of chaos fire. Power affected by wielder’s humanity.”

The weapon deals physical and fire damage. Its power is affected by the Humanity held by its wielder, with the reference reporting this effect scaling up to 10 Humanity. Its fire damage can be useful against enemies weak to fire. These are item-reference details, not a claim of platform-specific testing.
