ARC Raiders had a quick-use item duplication exploit in February 2026 that included Trigger ’Nades, but available reporting does not establish that the same exploit is active now or that it affected every mode. Embark said it hotfixed the duplication bug; later updates describe other issues and a separate duplication fix without confirming whether February’s method returned.
What happened in the February 2026 duplication exploit?
On February 10, 2026, PC Gamer reported that players had found a way to duplicate quick-use items, including Trigger ’Nades, ziplines, barricades and rubber ducks. The report described the method at a high level, and Embark said it had pushed a hotfix to squash the item duplication bug. This was a broader quick-use item issue, not a Trigger ’Nade-only exploit.
On February 17, the ARC Raiders Team said the investigated exploits arose from a design flaw and had affected both the game economy and players’ experience. The team wrote: “Though these exploits stemmed from a design flaw on our part, the way they were used had a real impact on the game’s economy and the way the community experienced ARC Raiders.” The statement also said enforcement would consider severity, intent, frequency and impact.
Is the Trigger ’Nade duplication exploit active now?
The available dated updates do not establish that February’s method is active as of October 2026. Embark said in July that it had fixed a duplication glitch the prior week and had begun banning accounts that gained significant advantage from it, but did not identify the affected items or say it was the February quick-use exploit. That update should be treated as a later, distinct duplication incident unless Embark explicitly connects the two.

Embark’s September 8 Live Update 1.45.0 notes list a Trigger ’Nade throw-animation issue as known; they do not say there is an active duplication exploit. The note is not evidence that the February exploit returned—or that it was fixed again.
Did it affect every ARC Raiders mode?
The cited reporting and official statements do not substantiate the claim that the exploit was “wrecking every mode.” They establish reports of disruptive item duplication and broad effects on the game economy and community experience, but do not quantify how often it occurred or document its reach across every mode. Treat universal or mode-specific claims as unverified unless supported by dated, direct evidence.

How to distinguish the duplication exploit from other Trigger ’Nade issues
Several separate Trigger ’Nade-related updates can be easy to conflate. The dates and descriptions show what each one does—and does not—establish.
| Date | Issue or update | What it establishes |
|---|---|---|
| January 2026 | Balance change | Embark said Trigger ’Nade dominated PvP encounters and increased its trigger delay from 0.7 seconds to 1.5 seconds. This was a balance adjustment, not a duplication fix. Update 1.11.0 notes. |
| February 2026 | Quick-use item duplication | Contemporaneous reporting described duplication of Trigger ’Nades and other usable items; Embark said it hotfixed the item duplication bug. PC Gamer’s report. |
| April 8, 2026 | Triple-damage interaction | Patch 1.23.0 fixed a separate issue in which two grenades detonating close together could sometimes deal triple damage. It does not describe item duplication. Patch notes. |
| July 2026 | Another duplication fix and enforcement | Embark said it fixed a duplication glitch the prior week and began banning accounts that gained significant advantage. The statement does not name Trigger ’Nades or link the glitch to February’s method. Store Update 1.37.0. |
| September 8, 2026 | Throw-animation issue | Live Update 1.45.0 listed a Trigger ’Nade throw-animation issue as known; it did not report duplication. Live Update notes. |
What penalties did Embark say exploit users could face?
In its February statement, Embark said potential responses could include warnings, removal of Coins linked to exploiting, or suspensions in severe cases. It said decisions would take into account the severity, intent, frequency and impact of the exploit use. In July, the studio separately said it had begun banning accounts that gained significant advantage from the later duplication glitch.
