Which Workshop stations can you upgrade?
The Workshop is ARC Raiders’ crafting system. Its six material-upgradeable stations each have three levels, with level-specific requirements. The costs below are listed separately for each station and level; they are not a combined shopping list.

These community-maintained station tables agree on the listed categories and quantities, but they are not official patch notes. Confirm the item names and requirements against your in-game station, particularly after the October 8 update. See the ARC Raiders Hub Workshop database and TheArcRaiders.com station guide.
What does each station upgrade help you craft?
- Gunsmith: weapons and weapon modifications. Choose it when your immediate goal is expanding weapon or mod options.
- Gear Bench: shields and augments. Upgrade it to broaden your gear choices.
- Medical Lab: healing items and medical equipment.
- Explosives Station: grenades and other explosives.
- Utility Station: gadgets, including movement and other utility options.
- Refiner: processes materials into components, including Electrical Components, Crude Explosives, Mechanical Components and higher-level components. It can support crafting and other station requirements downstream.
Station level is not the only recipe gate: some crafts also require the relevant blueprint. The ARC Raiders Wiki’s Workshop page describes the basic Workbench and station progression; check the recipe in-game to see whether you also need a blueprint.

Which station should you upgrade first?
There is no documented universal best order. Pick based on the output you need now, and factor in whether you already have the materials and blueprints for the recipes you want.

Does the Workbench need upgrade materials?
No material checklist is listed for the basic Workbench. It becomes available after playing one round and supports basic weapons, ammunition and some essentials. Do not count it among the six stations in the table.

Embark’s September 23, 2026 preview announces Frozen Trail for October 8 and a new Outpost Research Workstation. The preview says a fully upgraded Research Workstation gives Raiders the opportunity to access a fifth quality level for a range of guns; the initial rollout covers 15 weapons, with more planned. Its upgrade-material requirements are not stated in the preview, so they are not included in the six-station cost table. The announced research system also concerns blueprint acquisition, but it should not be treated as a guarantee that every blueprint can be obtained this way. GamesRadar reported Executive Producer Aleksander Grøndal describing research items that provide points players can use to choose some research, including a number of blueprints; the report said availability and difficulty details were unclear at publication. The announced Workstation has a different purpose and progression context from the six existing Workshop stations. Its material costs and any changes to the existing stations need to be checked in the live game once Frozen Trail launches.
