Is Alien: Isolation 2 confirmed?
Yes. Creative Assembly announced the sequel on behalf of SEGA on June 8, 2026. SEGA calls it Alien: Isolation 2, and the official game site describes it as a sequel to Alien: Isolation. SEGA’s announcement is the primary source for the confirmation.

The project had been confirmed earlier: Creative Director Al Hope wrote in an official statement published October 7, 2024, “Today, I’m delighted to confirm, on behalf of the team, that a sequel to ALIEN: ISOLATION is in early development.” That wording reflects the project’s status at the time; it should not be read as a description of its current development phase.
What platforms will Alien: Isolation 2 be on?
SEGA lists four platform families for the sequel:
- PlayStation 5
- Xbox Series X|S
- Nintendo Switch 2
- PC via Steam
The official game site corroborates the announced platform families. The announcement does not specify further technical details such as performance targets or PC system requirements.

What is known about the story?
SEGA says the game will have a brand-new setting, story, and protagonist, while the Xenomorph returns. Those are the disclosed story details; the announcement does not identify the new protagonist or explain how the sequel’s plot connects to the first game.
Has Alien: Isolation 2 been shown or playable?
Xbox Wire reported playing a prologue at Summer Game Fest: Play Days in June 2026 and interviewed Creative Assembly leads. This confirms a public-facing prologue demo milestone, but it is not a release-date announcement. Read the report at Xbox Wire.

When does Alien: Isolation 2 come out?
No release date or release window is established in the reviewed official announcement. The June 2026 prologue report does not provide one either, so there is not yet a confirmed date to plan around.
