How this ranking works
Update 1.4.0 introduced Transcendent Weapons, designed to offer different options for Descendant combat styles through their Transcendent Abilities. That makes weapon-to-build synergy important: a weapon’s value depends partly on the character and setup using it, not just its tier label. Nexon’s Update 1.4.0 notes describe the new tier and its intended role.

The 10 best weapons
1. ATR-0 Prototype
ATR-0 Prototype is the strongest overall starting point in this shortlist. Its S-tier placement in the September list makes it a supported candidate, while its Transcendent Weapon status puts it among the options built around distinct ability effects and Descendant combat styles. Choose it as a general-purpose target if its weapon ability complements your build; the available sources do not establish a universal DPS lead over the other entries.
2. Volcanic Heart
Volcanic Heart is another high-priority Transcendent Weapon, listed in S tier before the September 17 patch. It is a sensible broad-use pick for players whose build benefits from its Scout Rifle role and ability. The tier-list source does not provide an exact within-tier order or enough comparative performance data to claim that it outdamages the other weapons here.
3. Frost Blossom
Frost Blossom earns a place near the top as an S-tier Transcendent Machine Gun. Its weapon class suggests sustained fire as its basic role, but class alone is not proof of stronger boss damage or mob clearing; evaluate its ability and fit with the Descendant you plan to use. It was not among the five Transcendent Weapons named in the September 17 change summary.

4. ARMIS
ARMIS is an S-tier Transcendent Assault Rifle whose unique effect received a substantial adjustment in Update 1.4.3. The patch summary changed Interceptor Missile damage from 10%–1,020% to 10%–1,290%. Those are values for that effect, not a full DPS test, so they support noting a buff—not claiming a specific rank over other weapons. 5. Nightmare Launcher
Nightmare Launcher is an S-tier Transcendent Launcher and a strong candidate when your loadout calls for a weapon suited to area pressure. The September tier list separates AoE and single-target use, but its available details do not provide a numerical comparison for this weapon. Treat it as a role-driven choice rather than assuming it is optimal for every boss or build.
6. Sparky
Sparky brings a Transcendent Handgun option from the S tier. Its place here reflects the breadth of the short list, not a claim that it should replace a primary weapon in every encounter. Check whether its ability supports your Descendant and the content you are playing before investing heavily in its weapon core.

7. Unleashed Instinct
Unleashed Instinct is an S-tier Transcendent Shotgun. It is a close-range, role-specific option rather than an automatic all-purpose winner; its practical value depends on whether your build and encounter let you use that role effectively. The cited tier list supports it as a candidate, but does not establish a precise placement or damage advantage within S tier.
8. Thunder Cage
Thunder Cage remains a strong Ultimate Weapon candidate, appearing in S tier on the September list. Its inclusion offers a non-Transcendent alternative for players comparing the new tier against established weapons. The cited material does not provide matching performance figures across weapons, so use the tier placement as a shortlist signal rather than a guarantee that it wins every mobbing comparison.

Its ranking here is an editorial choice among grouped candidates; neither the tier list nor the official sources establish that it is universally better than other S-tier options.

10. Raging Light
Raging Light rounds out the list as an S-tier Transcendent Sniper Rifle. Its unique effect was changed in the September 17 update, so its pre-patch tier placement is particularly dated. Consider it for builds and encounters that reward its role, and verify the current in-game effect before committing resources.

Nexon’s September 17, 2026 Update 1.4.3 changed unique effects for five Transcendent Weapons: ARMIS, Raging Light, Storm Cage, Malicious Dominator and Emperor’s Guard Lance. Two of the published examples show larger effect values after the change:
- ARMIS: Interceptor Missile damage changed from 10%–1,020% to 10%–1,290%.
- Storm Cage: Lightning Burst additional damage changed from 12%–3,780% to 12%–7,890%.
- Emperor’s Guard Lance: Emperor’s Judgment damage changed from 12%–3,780% to 12%–8,190%.
These are patch-note effect values, not like-for-like weapon DPS results. The September 1 tier list predates these changes, and the October 1 weapon-balance implications are not established here. The ranking should therefore be read as a dated set of candidates, not a verified October meta ordering.
How to choose what to farm and upgrade
- Start with the job. Decide whether you need single-target performance for bosses, AoE for groups, or a flexible option. The tier-list source explicitly treats single-target and AoE as different use cases.
- Match the weapon to your Descendant. Transcendent Weapons were designed around differing ability combinations and combat styles, so check whether the weapon’s effect supports the build you actually play.
- Account for setup. The tier-list author says fully leveled, high-quality weapon cores are important to a weapon’s full potential. A high tier label does not mean an unbuilt copy will immediately outperform an upgraded weapon you already use.
- Check recent changes in game. For weapons changed on September 17, use the current in-game effect text and stats rather than relying on a September 1 placement. Nexon’s library is useful for reference, but its displayed information may differ from live in-game content.
- Compare within your actual roster. The sources do not provide a controlled performance ranking for every weapon. Use the shortlist to narrow choices, then favor the option whose role, ability and investment needs best fit your content.
Is this an official top 10?
No. Nexon’s cited materials establish the Transcendent Weapon system, list weapon information and document balance changes; they do not publish a ranked top ten. The September community tier list also groups weapons by tier and calls its placements personal.
