HoYoDex counted 45 Genshin Impact claymores in its catalog updated July 14, 2026. A 2026 crawl of the Genshin Impact Wiki (Fandom) counted 43, so the total depends on when a catalog was checked. The available item records here do not establish every weapon’s name, stats, passive, and acquisition route; the entries below are the claymores for which specific details are documented.
How many claymores are in Genshin Impact?
HoYoDex reported 45 claymores as of July 14, 2026. A 2026 crawl of the Genshin Impact Wiki (Fandom) reported 43. These are catalog counts from different sources and dates, not a guarantee that the total remains unchanged after later releases. GameWith published an all-claymore guide on September 28, 2026, but the available record does not give its count.
For a current in-game inventory, check the weapon archive in your own game. A dated catalog count is useful as a snapshot, but should not be treated as timeless.
What makes a claymore different?
Claymore is one of Genshin Impact’s five weapon types. Its melee attacks are generally slower than those of other weapon categories, trading speed for heavier hits and a greater ability to interrupt enemies.

How to choose a claymore for a character
Rarity alone does not identify the best weapon for a character. Compare a candidate against the character’s build and team on these points:

- Stats: Check whether the weapon’s base ATK and secondary stat suit the character’s damage needs.
- Passive trigger and uptime: A powerful effect matters only when the character and team can activate it reliably.
- Team synergy: Some effects depend on party composition or benefit the team, rather than only the wielder.
- Role: Decide whether the build prioritizes on-field damage, Elemental Burst damage, reactions, support, or Physical damage.
- Availability: An event-exclusive, limited, or Battle Pass weapon may be less accessible than a weapon available through another route.
For example, Akuoumaru’s Burst bonus is tied to the party’s combined maximum Energy capacity, so its usefulness depends on the team as well as refinement. Song of Broken Pines has documented Physical DMG, team ATK, and ATK Speed effects, while Serpent Spine’s cited maximum-level figures emphasize CRIT Rate. These descriptions identify possible fit, not a universal ranking: the character, refinement, artifacts, and team all affect the comparison.
Which claymores are free or craftable?
The documented records identify Akuoumaru as Event Wish Exclusive, Song of Broken Pines as limited, and Serpent Spine as a Battle Pass weapon. They do not establish which claymores are free or craftable, or provide acquisition routes for every weapon. Check the individual weapon’s current in-game description and the relevant wish or crafting menu before planning around a specific source.

What details to verify in a complete weapon catalog
A useful entry for each claymore should include its name, rarity, base ATK, secondary stat and value, passive name and refinement scaling, acquisition route, region, release version, and any limitation such as event, Battle Pass, or wish availability. The dated count alone does not supply those item-level facts, so it cannot serve as a complete stat or acquisition list.
