Episode 6 of Dispatch, “Moving Parts,” has one dispatch shift, several party and relationship decisions, and five hacking sequences. Based on the available unofficial walkthroughs, earlier choices can change dialogue and who appears, while Episode 6’s dialogue and hacking can affect relationships and reported hidden counters. The closing event is reported to stay the same regardless of hacking performance.

Spoilers for Episodes 4–6. The exact hidden-counter effects below come from an unofficial walkthrough, not a developer-confirmed guide; options may differ depending on your earlier choices.

What carries over from earlier episodes?

Episode 6 opens after the bar scene from the previous episode. The walkthroughs report that whether Robert revealed his Mecha Man identity in Episode 5 can alter several scenes: the suit-test gathering, Flambae’s behavior at the party, whether Chase reveals Robert’s identity during the argument, and Flambae’s availability for the dispatch shift. Earlier romance choices can also determine which dialogue and dance-partner options appear.

Some early responses are described as flavor rather than consequential choices. Choosing SALUTE, FLEX, or SUPERHERO POSE reportedly changes only the cutscene animation. Several lines about the previous night are likewise reported not to affect a counter.

Which early dialogue choices matter?

Infirmary: “I believe in you”

Choosing “I believe in you” reportedly improves Robert’s relationship with Royd and is remembered later.

Talking with Chase

“Do you think she likes me?” is reportedly available if Robert went to the movies with Invisigal in Episode 4. The walkthrough says this adds two points to a hidden Sweet Exit Counter. Other listed responses in this conversation are reported not to change that counter.

What should you choose at the party?

Responding to the gathering

At home, “Why’d you do all this?” and “Thanks guys” are each reported to add one point to a hidden Robert Mentor Counter. “Thanks guys” is also reported to improve Robert’s relationships with Invisigal and Royd.

Choosing a dance partner

The available dance scene reportedly depends on prior romance choices. Blonde Blazer appears under some Episode 4 or 5 conditions; Invisigal appears under others. The walkthroughs do not establish one universal choice independent of the earlier route.

Responding to Invisigal’s plan

The detailed walkthrough reports these effects for the plan discussion:

  • “We go tonight” supports the Invisigal route and adds one point each to the reported Sweet Exit and Robert Mentor counters.
  • “Make a plan first” supports the Blonde Blazer route and also adds one point to each of those counters.
  • “This is out of our league” is described as a negative route choice.

These are guide-reported route effects, and the available options may depend on the playthrough.

How do the argument and the punch affect counters?

When the argument escalates

“He doesn’t mean that” and “Back off, Chase!” are each reported to add one point to both the Sweet Exit and Robert Mentor counters. “Everybody calm down” reportedly subtracts one point from each.

After Chase punches Invisigal

Your response reportedly affects a different counter:

  • “You okay, Chase?” or “Everybody out” adds one Hero Counter point.
  • “So, shots?” adds one Antihero Counter point.

On the balcony

Choosing “It’s the right thing to do” reportedly improves Chase’s relationship with Robert and is remembered later.

What happens during the dispatch shift?

The shift begins partway through, so the walkthrough recommends assigning available heroes promptly. Calls reward matching hero attributes, and the guide describes bonus XP thresholds. These dispatch decisions are presented as gameplay strategy, not as changes to the episode’s narrative ending. If you disclosed Robert’s identity in Episode 5, Flambae may not be available for this shift.

Do the five dock hacks change the ending?

The walkthrough describes five hacking sequences: locating Astral Pulse, opening a locked door, activating a speaker tower, operating a crane, and opening a safe. It reports that the first sequence has no Robert Mentor Counter effect. The next four are scored: success adds to that counter, while failure on the locked door, speaker tower, or crane can subtract points. Failure on the safe reportedly does not subtract points.

Despite those scoring effects, the same walkthrough says the Episode 6 closing event is fixed: Invisigal loses to Shroud, and Chase uses his powers to get her out. It reports that Chase’s survival is left unresolved until Episode 7. These ending details, like the counter changes, come from unofficial walkthrough coverage rather than a developer source.

Which choices to compare across playthroughs

To understand why two Episode 6 runs differ, compare the earlier identity and romance decisions first, then the party and argument responses, the Hero or Antihero choice after the punch, and performance on the scored dock hacks. The walkthroughs indicate these can change scene details, route support, relationships, or hidden scoring without changing the reported Episode 6 closing event.

The detailed source for the scene order and counter effects is Ethan Parker’s Dispatch Episode 6 walkthrough, published August 28, 2026 and updated September 22, 2026. A shorter guide from Patch Crazy, published November 6, 2025, broadly supports the episode structure and conditional carry-over but contains duplicated and conflicting material: All Choices & Outcomes in Dispatch Episode 6.
