Yes—11 bit studios announced in March 2024 that The Alters would come to PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass for console. The game later launched on June 13, 2025, and Xbox listed it for Cloud, PC and Xbox Series X|S as a day-one Game Pass release. Xbox’s current store listing shows Game Pass inclusion, though availability and eligible plans can change by region.
Is The Alters coming to Game Pass?
It was announced for Game Pass and has since launched. On March 6, 2024, 11 bit studios said The Alters would join PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass for console when it released, then expected later in 2024. The studio set the release date as June 13, 2025, in an announcement on April 10, 2025. 11 bit studios’ original announcement and its release-date announcement establish that timeline.

On June 5, 2025, Xbox Wire listed the game for Cloud, PC and Xbox Series X|S, calling it a day-one Game Pass title. Megan Spurr, Senior Community Lead, Xbox Game Pass, wrote: “Available on day one with Game Pass!” Xbox Wire’s June 2025 lineup gives the platform details.
Which platforms and Game Pass access are listed?
Xbox’s current store page lists The Alters as included with Game Pass and identifies the Xbox release date as June 13, 2025. The listing covers Xbox Series X|S, PC and Cloud access; catalog status and eligible subscription tiers may change, so check the live Xbox listing for your region before subscribing or downloading.

The game was also released for PlayStation 5 and PC as a direct purchase. Game Pass is therefore one access route, not the only platform or purchase option.
What kind of game is The Alters?
The Alters is a single-player science-fiction survival game. You play Jan Dolski, stranded on a hostile planet, who uses Rapidium and a quantum computer to create alternate versions of himself—“alters”—to help operate a mobile base and survive.

Game Pass or a direct purchase?
Game Pass provides access while the game remains in the catalog and your subscription qualifies. A direct purchase avoids relying on continued catalog inclusion, but the current store price can vary by platform, region and sale. For a boxed copy, distinguish the editions by platform and timing. Tesura Games announced earlier physical editions for PS5 and Xbox Series X in April 2025; its product page describes Standard and Signature editions and their collector items. Those earlier editions are separate from the later PS5 Complete Edition. Check retailer availability rather than assuming the earlier pre-orders remain in stock.
Tesura Games announced The Alters: Complete Edition for PS5 on September 15, 2026, with a stated release date of November 20, 2026. The distributor says it includes the base game, The Last Variable DLC and four deluxe outfits, and that it is available for Amazon pre-order. This is a future physical release, not an already playable edition. How many copies had The Alters sold?
11 bit studios reported 280,000 units sold across PC, Xbox Series X|S and PS5 through July 7, 2025. That is a dated sales total, not a current lifetime figure. The studio reported it in its 2025 investor relations report.
