To complete Communication Hideout in ARC Raiders, find the battery cell near Red Tower in Old Town, install it in the nearby generator and switch the generator on, then climb to the antenna terminal and activate it. The objectives must be completed in one round; extraction is not required for quest credit.
Before you start
Shani gives you Communication Hideout after you complete Lost In Transmission. The quest takes place at Red Tower in Old Town, in the southern part of Buried City. Its objective list specifies that the steps are completed “IN ONE ROUND.” The ARC Raiders Wiki lists the quest prerequisite and objectives.
Complete the objectives at Red Tower
1. Search for the battery cell
Look through the courtyard and street beside Red Tower for the quest-marked container or bag. The exact landmark varies between walkthroughs: PC Gamer places a metal box northeast of the tower beside a boarded kiosk and palm tree, while GameSpot describes a box east of the tower near a small structure. Destructoid says the cell may be in a container or backpack. Use the in-game objective marker and inspect nearby marked containers rather than relying on one direction or container type.

2. Install the cell and power the generator
Take the battery to the nearby generator and install it, then interact with the power control to switch the generator on. PC Gamer places the generator near the kiosk and a subway entrance; GameSpot describes a yellow generator a few steps from the battery box.
3. Climb to the antenna terminal
- Enter Red Tower through a nearby window.
- Climb the stairs, then turn right at the top and pass through the damaged wall.
- Climb the yellow ladder to the landing and exterior platform.
- Follow the platform around the tower to the marked terminal and activate it. This interaction completes the quest.
After activating the terminal
You can loot or extract if you choose, but the guides say extraction is not needed for quest credit once the terminal is activated. The courtyard and tower area may have ARC enemies or other raiders, so keep the one-round objective chain in mind while moving between interactions.

Quest rewards
The ARC Raiders Wiki lists an Aviator Outfit (Crimson Racer Color), one Anvil III and 40 Heavy Ammo. Destructoid lists one Anvil III and 40 Heavy Ammo but does not mention the outfit, so the outfit reward is attributed to the wiki rather than independently confirmed by both guides.
