Where to find Iris and start The Bakery
The Bakery is in central Wyndham Village at 33.4E, 80.2N. Speak with Iris Baxter to begin the interaction. You can also discover the lead by collecting the finding “To Call Him a Monster…” at Wyndham Garage. These locations and steps are reported by Gamer Guides and PCGamesN.

For the tonic request, Gamer Guides recommends asking about her husband’s illness with the Prying option, then choosing Sympathetic, Curious about the tonic, and Helpful. The final choice unlocks a Lead pointing toward Mother Jago in Casterfell Woods. Dialogue summaries differ on the opening response, so treat those labels as a guide-reported route rather than a guaranteed transcript.
Where to find the Bakery Bedroom Key
At Wyndham Garage, located at 35.5E, 79.2N, enter and check the worktop to the right. Gamer Guides reports the Bakery Bedroom Key there. The guide also says Iris can provide the key if you kill her, but that route carries an obvious cost and is unnecessary if you collect it at the garage.

Should you open the bedroom?
The locked bedroom is upstairs in the Bakery. Opening it releases infected Phillip. Gamer Guides reports that he attacks and that killing him makes Iris hostile and ends her lead. The room contains a Consumables Skill Manual, also called a skill book in GamesHorizon’s account. Its listed unlocks are Gut Health, Buff Duration, and Blue Fingers.

How to get Mother Jago’s Strange Tonic
GamesHorizon places Mother Jago at the Old Mine in Casterfell Woods. She directs you to the Druid’s Castle to find the Strange Tonic recipe. The guide describes this route:
- Go to the Old Mine in Casterfell Woods and speak with Mother Jago.
- Travel to the Druid’s Castle and obtain the Castle Key.
- Use the key in the slot behind a raised pedestal to open a hidden passage.
- Take the Strange Tonic recipe and Mother Jago’s book from the room.
- Craft the tonic using 4 Spores, 1 Chemical, 3 Glass, and 5 Herbs.
GamesHorizon says the Strange Tonic reduces infection build-up and damage from infection-causing hazards. Returning it to Iris leads her to administer it to Phillip; he then escapes the bedroom and The Bakery Lead ends. That is the reported resolution, not a separately verified account of every possible route or current game build.

What if you report Iris to Captain Sims?
GamesHorizon says reporting Iris to Captain Sims does not prevent you from obtaining the Consumables Skill Book. That guide-reported point is useful if you are weighing the book against the lead, but the available sources do not establish all consequences of reporting her across every game state.
