There is no verified universal ranking for fastest or most profitable method; results depend on your map, save, equipment, and current prices.
How to choose a money-making method
Use the in-game prices window to see which selling points accept a product and compare their current listed prices. Prices change over time, including seasonally, so a method that pays well in one save or at one point in the year may not be the best choice later. Before investing, compare the purchase cost, ongoing inputs, labor and transport, time until sale, and whether you already own the required land or building. The methods below are accessible options, not a measured profitability ranking.
12 accessible ways to earn money in FS22
1. Take available contracts
Open the contract screen from the menu and review jobs offered by other farms. Contracts let you work without first buying the field, which makes them a useful place to start if you have limited capital. Check each job’s requirements and payout before accepting; the game does not guarantee a particular return or make contracts the best choice in every situation.

2. Sell at the best current selling point
When you have a load ready, check the prices window for locations that accept it and compare their listed prices. Then transport the goods to a suitable selling point. The extra distance to a higher-priced location may or may not be worthwhile for your vehicle, load size, and time.
3. Time sales around seasonal prices
Because prices can vary by season, check the price chart before selling and consider storing a crop if you have the capacity and can wait. There is no single best month for every crop and save: use the prices shown in your game rather than relying on a fixed calendar recommendation.

4. Grow produce in greenhouses
Greenhouses can grow lettuce, tomatoes, and strawberries for sale. They need fresh water; a supplementary water tank can increase water capacity. This is a way to add produce to your farm, but the equipment, water handling, and sale price determine whether it suits your setup. The manual describes the greenhouse mechanics but gives no fixed return.
5. Place solar collectors or wind energy converters
Generators are a low-touch option: solar collectors and wind energy converters produce passive hourly income. Their trade-off is a high initial cost, so weigh the purchase against the rest of your farm’s needs. GIANTS’ manual describes the mechanic but does not establish a payback period.

6. Process crops through production chains
Production plants turn inputs into other goods that may sell for a higher price. You need access to a plant, must deliver its inputs, and should account for operating costs and time. A higher selling price for the finished product does not by itself mean higher net profit. 7. Make flour, bread, or cake
One production route takes grain to a grain mill for flour, then sends the flour to a bakery. The bakery can make bread and cake; cake requires multiple ingredients, so it involves more supply steps than simply selling grain. Treat this as a production expansion if you can support the inputs and delivery work, not as instant cash.

8. Turn wool into clothing
Wool can be processed at a spinnery into cloth, then delivered to a tailor shop to make clothing. This multi-stage chain requires wool, access to the production buildings, and time to move goods between steps. It is better suited to a farm building toward a longer production setup than one needing immediate income.
9. Sell logs or wood chips
Forestry can produce saleable logs or wood chips. Trees can be cut with a chainsaw or tree harvester; logs need to be prepared and transported, while wood chips require suitable handling. 10. Sell animal products
Animals provide products and materials that can be sold, but keeping them requires setup and ongoing care. The manual lists milk, slurry, and manure among cow outputs. Consider the animal housing, feed, handling, and transport your operation needs before choosing this route; the official material does not provide a universal income rate.
11. Keep bees for honey and crop interaction
Place beehives through build mode to produce honey, which can be sold directly or processed. The manual also says nearby fields of canola, sunflower, and potatoes receive a yield increase. It does not quantify that increase here, so treat it as an additional gameplay benefit rather than a guaranteed amount of income.
12. Sell harvested crops and processed goods when the price works
Selling a harvest directly is a straightforward route: check the prices window, choose a location that accepts the crop, and compare the available prices. If you are considering processing instead, account for the extra inputs, transport, and time alongside the potential sale price. The manual recognizes crops and processed goods, along with produce, wood, and animal products, as saleable categories.

Your best choice depends on the current prices and accepted selling points in your game, your equipment and land, and whether you can store or process the harvest.
