Spoilers: This guide reveals the final boss and post-battle ending choices. Elden Ring Nightreign has four reported endings: a common route and character-specific routes for Raider, Ironeye, and Recluse. Each follows the final Nightlord battle; the character routes also require progress in the relevant Nightfarer’s journal or Remembrance. The exact Ironeye relic requirement is disputed, so treat it as unconfirmed.
How the endings fit into an Expedition
In an Expedition, two days of exploration in Limveld lead to mandatory nighttime boss encounters, followed on the third day by a showdown with the Nightlord’s avatar. Bandai Namco’s official starter guide describes Roundtable Hold as the base for story events, dialogue, and cutscenes; its gameplay guide says defeating the second-night boss opens the way to the Nightlord. The ending branch is determined by what you do after that final fight.

How to get each ending
Common ending
After defeating the final boss, return to the body in Roundtable Hold and offer the Nightlord’s Rune. Game8 Japan identifies this as the common route. If you are pursuing a character-specific ending, do not select this option automatically: the choice at the body may determine which scene you see.

Raider ending
- Advance Raider’s journal or Remembrance to chapter 8.
- Equip Silver Tear, as reported by Game8 Japan.
- Defeat the final boss while playing as Raider.
- After the battle, use the interaction with the Nightlord in the sandy area.
Ironeye ending
- Advance Ironeye’s journal or Remembrance to chapter 7.
- Defeat the final boss while playing as Ironeye.
- At the body in Roundtable Hold, choose the dagger interaction.
The relic condition is not settled by the available guides: Game8 Japan’s summary does not list a required relic, while GameWith reports equipping Sacred Blade. Because these accounts differ, Sacred Blade should not be treated as a confirmed requirement.
Recluse ending
- Advance Recluse’s journal or Remembrance to chapter 7.
- Defeat the final boss while playing as Recluse.
- In Roundtable Hold, interact with the child at the bed.
The reviewed guides report the chapter threshold and interaction but do not establish a relic requirement.

What the endings establish—and what they do not
The ending guides describe four branches, but the official materials reviewed here explain Expedition progression rather than documenting the branch conditions. No reviewed official source identifies a “true” or canonical ending. The route names and interaction steps are useful for reaching the reported scenes, but they do not establish a definitive ranking or a broader resolution of Nightreign’s story.
Names and prompt wording can differ between localization and guide translations. Match the character and interaction described here to the option shown in your game rather than relying on an English translation of a Japanese prompt.
