Jarlings do not appear until you complete the Jar Enthusiasts bonus mission. Collect its six Jarlings in Cradle of Jars, finish the mission, then revisit earlier areas to find the other 38 in breakable jars and pots. Guides report 44 Jarlings in total: PowerPyx says 42 are enough for the final reward it describes, while all 44 are required for the Jar Enthusiast trophy.
How to unlock Jarlings
Start with the Jar Enthusiasts bonus mission. MapMaster says it contains six jars in Cradle of Jars; after you collect them and complete the mission, the other 38 Jarlings activate across the game. PowerPyx likewise warns that Jarlings are absent before this mission, so searching earlier missions beforehand will not find them.
Once unlocked, sweep breakable jars and pots throughout the levels. PowerPyx reports that a nearby Jarling may make a jingle, and that controller vibration can provide an additional cue if enabled. These are guide-reported signals, not a guarantee that every hidden Jarling will be obvious.
Cradle of Jars: collect the first six
Find and break the six Jarling jars in Cradle of Jars during the Jar Enthusiasts bonus mission, then complete the mission. The available guide summary establishes the count and unlock effect but does not give a complete route for those six individual jars.

Return to earlier missions
After the bonus mission, replay earlier areas and search their breakable containers. PowerPyx says missions can be replayed for missed collectibles. It also cautions against starting New Game+ after the credits if you intend to collect the Jarlings in that playthrough.
Finding Jarlings contributes to Danjin-related rewards, including headgear and crafting materials. MapMaster also says the shop expands as you find jars. The reward threshold depends on what you are pursuing: its guide count is 42 for the final reward described by PowerPyx, while the trophy requires all 44.
Mission-by-mission Jarling directions
The directions below are selected examples from Pro Game Guides’ mission-organized checklist, which it labels a work in progress. They are guide-derived landmarks, not official map coordinates or independently verified placements. The list is not a complete checklist of all 44 locations.
Forgotten Temple
After deactivating all Netherworld energy devices, defeating the Revenant of Adversity, and taking the lift upstairs, turn left before continuing. Look for the Jarling pot at the end of the path near the stairs.

Night of Tragedy
Near the second Soulstone, go to the opposite end of the stairs and break the pots.
Blacksmith’s Heirloom
After the first Soulstone, stay in the first room before leaving. Check the raised ground on the right near a corpse with a red aura. An underground enemy attacks there; the corner pots include the Jarling.
Kaleido
In the room after the Soulstone, descend the stairs and check the pot at the base of the left supporting pillar.
Human Xilence
From Main Cavern Stairway Blade Nexus, continue straight toward the dead end instead of turning left. Check the pots there.

Escaping Linon Mine
Before the first Soulstone, reach the overlook above the spider sacs. Clear the spiders, then search the corner near a hanging cage for a pot.
Pavel’s Final Words
After opening the prisoner-cell shortcut, search before taking the stairs to the upper section. Turn right and check the room at the end of the hall; break its pots.
Lacrima
After the flame-firing enemy at the end of the bridge, enter the room on the left. Turn left through the barricade and break the pot in the corner.
Valus’s Axe
After the elite enemy, enter the room on the right and defeat the invisible enemy. Check the pots and barrels at the far end.

Atlante the Precise
Near the Where Death Lingers Blade Nexus, follow the path past the saber-wielding undead. Break the large pot near the plague-effect vines.
Last Command
After freeing the NPCs in a cage near the archers and explosive barrels, check for a pot beside the bundle of logs.
Last Sentinel
After the bridge beast, climb the spiral stairs. On the top floor, turn right and break the pot near a small window before continuing left.
Transcendental Sword
Just before the second Soulstone, search the corner by the fire-arrow-trap button and wall. Break the pots there.
Crimson Trace
After the elite enemy at the bridge, turn left into the room instead of advancing toward the mutated flame monster. Check the pot by the shields and wooden boxes.
Fall of the Empire
In the mansion, reach the top floor and find the room with a bed and bookshelves. Break the corner pots.
Unrequited Love
Go to the library’s second floor and search the left corner among the bookshelves. Enemies are waiting to ambush there.

MapMaster highlights three spots that can be easy to overlook: one Jarling behind a breakable wall in Palemion Citadel, one on a ledge reached by dropping from above in Vaisar Gate, and one in Wastus Canyon near a plague tree, where the jar is visually camouflaged. These are that guide’s location claims; use the landmarks as leads while sweeping the areas.

What Jarlings count toward
PowerPyx reports 44 Jarlings in the game, all required for the Jar Enthusiast trophy. It distinguishes that completion target from the 42 needed for the final reward it describes. Jarlings are separate from Soulstones, which serve a different upgrade function.
