Riot’s League Error Codes and Solutions page directs players with unresolved client problems to Riot’s repair resources. Its connectivity support catalog includes the Riot Client Full Repair Tool. These are official general repair options, not fixes Riot has identified for code 0U.
Use Riot’s current instructions rather than relying on older menu paths: client interfaces can change, and the repair option may not appear in every version. If you cannot find it, go through Riot’s current support resources or submit a ticket instead of guessing at settings.
2. Check your connection and firewall configuration
Riot’s connectivity resources are the appropriate next stop if the client may be having trouble reaching Riot’s services. Follow the current League connection troubleshooting guidance and note whether the error changes.

Allow the correct game and client files
If your firewall may be blocking League, Riot’s Configure your Firewall article lists possible exception entries, including the League client, Riot Client, game executable, and Vanguard executables. Installation paths can vary, so check where those files are actually installed on your PC and match Riot’s listed entries to your own paths. Firewall settings differ by product; Riot directs users to their firewall provider when they need help with its interface.
Prefer adding the relevant exceptions over leaving the firewall disabled. Riot Games Support says, “Turning off your firewall should be for troubleshooting purposes only.” If you temporarily turn it off to diagnose a possible block, keep the test brief and turn it back on immediately afterward.

3. Restart, then contact Riot Support if 0U remains
Restarting the Riot Client and your computer is a low-risk basic attempt, but it appears in third-party advice about 0U rather than as a Riot-confirmed remedy. A third-party video also suggests reinstalling and using wired Ethernet; those suggestions do not establish what causes 0U or prove that either step will resolve it. Reinstalling can take time, so do not make it the first step. If you choose to reinstall later, use Riot’s current uninstall and reinstall instructions.
If the error continues, use the support-ticket route linked from Riot’s error-code guide. Include the exact code, when it appears (for example, during launch or loading), and the steps you have already tried. If Riot’s repair tool provides relevant logs, attach them to help Support investigate.
