You will need repeated runs: the route guide used here says only one record can be earned per instance. Pick a target record below, follow its branch and trigger, then check the Variant Dungeon exploration log to confirm what you have discovered.
How to enter The Sil’dihn Subterrane
This is a level 90 Variant Dungeon added in Patch 6.25. Square Enix’s Patch 6.25 notes list completion of the Endwalker main scenario, level 90, and an average item level of 575 as entry requirements. To unlock it, speak with Osmon in Old Sharlayan, then accept “A Key to the Past” from Shallow Moor.
Register from Duty > V&C Dungeon Finder. You can enter solo or with a pre-made party of up to four; there are no role requirements, job changes are allowed inside, and enemy strength adjusts to party size. Variant Actions are available during the duty. Square Enix explains that the path changes according to player choices in its Letter from the Producer LIVE Part LXXII transcript.

Whom the Silkie Serves
- At the two-eyes puzzle, place the blue sack to the right of the north door and the yellow sack in the southeast-most corner.
- After the teleporter, defeat the enemies and open the door concealed behind rubble before Nanamo opens the gate.
Pride and Acceptance
- Use the same correct two-eyes solution: blue sack to the right of the north door, yellow sack in the southeast-most corner.
- Do not interrupt Nanamo; let her open the gate.
A Spot in the Sunlight
- Fail the two-eyes puzzle.
- In the next room, hit every cotton spore before or while defeating the enemies.
A Key Memory
- Fail the two-eyes puzzle.
- Continue normally and avoid every cotton spore in the next room.

- Fail the scales puzzle.
- Before the final boss, use the right lever.
Raising the Flag

- After the first boss, take the right branch at the lift.
- Defeat the drakes from largest to smallest: father, mother, brother, sister, then drakeling.
- Defeat the wraiths, then activate the Myrrh Incense Burner on the right side of the wraith room.
- Interact with the sarcophagus and defeat the boss.
In Parchment We Trust
- After the first boss, take the right branch at the lift.
- Defeat the drakes from largest to smallest: father, mother, brother, sister, then drakeling.
- Defeat the wraiths and activate the Myrrh Incense Burner on the right side of the wraith room.
- At the sarcophagus, target it and perform
/bow,/respect,/vpose, then/kneel, in that order. - Defeat the secret boss.
Track progress and claim the reward
The exploration log records route-specific events and clues, so check it after each run to see which discoveries registered. According to the community route guide, completing all 12 Survey Records awards the Silkie mount. If a record does not appear, revisit the route’s decisive interaction rather than assuming the puzzle result alone was enough: several records require a follow-up lever, object, gate, spore, burner, or emote action.
