When to cast—and when to save mana
Think of A Pluck of Many as a commitment to a temporary opening. It is more likely to be worthwhile when you can cast with room to act and have a plan to make use of the copies’ active time. Casting into an unsafe moment risks spending mana while the duplicates are exposed or the opportunity to follow up is limited.
In a long encounter, preserving mana can matter more than adding pressure immediately, particularly if a later phase may demand resources or a safer opening. When deciding whether to equip or cast it, weigh the reported mana commitment and cooldown against the encounter’s opportunities, your upgrades, and whether you have useful follow-up spells equipped. The cited guides disagree on the route, so the available information does not support a confident single location. The wiki says the spell is granted after reaching Windseal Gate in Yellow Wind Formation and seeing a cutscene with the Headless Monk. Game8 instead says to defeat Stone Vanguard in Chapter 2. These accounts may describe related progression, but that connection is not established by the sources here.
