Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 launched worldwide on November 14, 2025, with a co-op campaign, replayable Endgame, multiplayer, and Round-Based Zombies. I can’t give you a genuine personal verdict on those modes without firsthand play—and no platform, play period, or solo/co-op experience is established here—so this review does not pretend to have one. Instead, it lays out what launched and what to assess in each mode, separating confirmed launch details from impressions a player must form in game.
What launched in Black Ops 7
Activision’s launch announcement describes Black Ops 7 as a package of cooperative campaign, replayable Endgame, multiplayer, and Round-Based Zombies, and says the game went live worldwide on November 14, 2025. The reveal had described campaign play as solo or cooperative. These official descriptions establish the modes and launch date, not how well they play.

The launch-era platform list from Xbox Wire’s November 10, 2025 launch guide includes Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Xbox on PC, ROG Xbox Ally handhelds, Cloud, Battle.net, Steam, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4. Availability can vary by region and change over time, so check the relevant storefront for current options.
Campaign and Endgame: two parts of the campaign experience
The campaign supports cooperative play, while Endgame is presented as replayable post-campaign content. Those labels leave the central review questions open: does the story and mission pacing work alone as well as with a squad, and does Endgame give players a reason to return after the campaign? Without a firsthand play account, there is no sound basis to call either mode compelling, frustrating, or successful.

For players deciding whether to play with friends, the useful distinction is that the campaign is the narrative-led component, while Endgame is the replay-focused follow-on. Whether that structure suits a solo player or a group depends on the actual mission flow, coordination demands, and replay loop—not simply on the modes’ official descriptions.
Multiplayer: launch maps and different match scales
Activision said multiplayer launched with 18 maps. Xbox Wire’s launch guide specifies the breakdown: 16 maps for 6v6 and two for 20v20. These are launch counts, not a description of the current map pool or live rotation; later seasonal updates may have changed what is available.

The player-count split matters more to a buyer than the headline total alone: 16 maps were assigned to 6v6 at launch, while only two were listed for 20v20. Whether either format is the better fit comes down to how its maps, weapons, movement, and matchmaking feel in play; the launch figures cannot answer those questions.
Zombies: the launch map and replay loop
Black Ops 7 launched with Round-Based Zombies set in the Dark Aether. Activision’s Zombies deep dive identifies Ashes of the Damned as the first Round-Based Zombies map available at launch. That establishes the launch starting point, but not how easy the map is to navigate, how its rounds build, or how much replay value it offers.

Activision also announced 16 Mastery Camos across Multiplayer, Zombies, and Co-Op Campaign at launch, with Warzone availability slated for Season 1. That is a launch-era rollout statement, not a current count of available camos; the live inventory may have changed.

Independent launch-period reviews offer opinions, not substitutes for a personal review. PC Gamer’s November 22, 2025 review discusses the campaign and shared-game structure. TechRadar’s review reports more than 30 hours of play, including roughly 12 hours in campaign and Endgame across solo and co-op, and evaluates multiple modes.
