Dead by Daylight’s 2025 Blood Moon event ran from April 7 at 11 a.m. ET to April 29 at 11 a.m. ET. It is over; its event items, rewards, and bonuses are not currently available through that edition. This guide covers how its Blood Generators worked and what the event offered.
When did the 2025 Blood Moon event run?
Behaviour Interactive’s announcement set the event for April 7, 2025, at 11 a.m. ET through April 29, 2025, at 11 a.m. ET. Those dates apply to the 2025 edition only. A later official announcement for a 2026 Blood Moon confirms the event returned in a subsequent year, but does not make the 2025 rewards or schedule current. How did Blood Generators work?
Blood Generators replaced four of the seven generators in a Trial during the event, according to the Dead by Daylight Team. Survivors still needed to repair five generators to escape; regular and Blood Generators both counted toward that total.
Survivor steps
- Find a Blood Pump and take a Blood Can.
- Collect blood from the pump. Pumps slowly refilled after use.
- Carry the can to a Blood Generator and use its blood to fuel it.
- Continue repairing generators until five total—regular, Blood, or a combination—are complete.
The can made travel more exposed: carrying it left a blood trail and produced sound, while running caused it to lose charges. The mechanic therefore added a supply-and-route decision to generator repair rather than changing the number of generators required.

What Killers could track
Killers could see how much blood remained in a pump. That information could indicate that a Survivor had used it and might return. The event announcement also said Killer Powers, Add-Ons, Perks, and Items did not interact with Blood Generators.
What event items and Bloodpoint bonuses were available?
Bloodsense Map and Bloodshot Eyes returned to the Bloodweb during the event. The Map automatically tracked three objectives selected from generators, Killer belongings, Exit Gates, the Hatch, and injured Survivors’ auras. Using it left a blood trail. Bloodshot Eyes was an exclusive Offering that granted 100% more Bloodpoints for each interaction tied to the Blood Moon event, as announced by the developer.

The community-wide Blood Seeker track advanced when Survivors repaired Blood Generators and Killers damaged them. The announcement described up to five thresholds, each with a global Bloodpoint multiplier; its fifth threshold offered a 500% multiplier. These are announced event values, not independently measured averages or a guarantee of an individual player’s payout.

Players could earn event currency through participation and spend it on event cosmetics. The official announcement listed these currency unlockables:

Blood Moon Collection cosmetics
A separate Blood Moon Collection was available in the in-game store for the event’s duration. It featured outfits for The Artist, The Houndmaster, Taurie Cain, and Claudette Morel, plus a Blood Moon helmet for The Knight. These were store cosmetics, distinct from items bought with event currency.
Daily login rewards
The event also announced daily login rewards including Bloodpoints, Rift Fragments, Iridescent Shards, and a one-time event-currency bonus. The announcement’s aggregate Bloodpoint figure is written as “850,000K Bloodpoints,” an apparent typo or formatting error, so it should not be treated as a verified total.
