When did the BO6 Warzone Season 1 update launch?
Call of Duty announced Season 01 for November 14, 2024, as the start of Warzone’s Black Ops 6 integration. The official Season 01 overview described the update as bringing Black Ops 6 movement, weapons, progression, and other systems into Warzone.

Raven Software’s Warzone Season 01 Patch Notes page is dated January 12, 2025. It includes a November 13 launch entry as well as subsequent Season 01 and Season 01 Reloaded entries. Read it as a record of changes across the season, not solely as a launch-day changelog.
What changed in Warzone gameplay and movement?
Omnimovement arrived from Black Ops 6
Raven’s notes say the movement and combat innovations from Black Ops 6 were integrated into Warzone. Players could sprint, slide, and dive in any direction, including performing 180-degree combat dives. The notes also identify Combat Supine and Omni-Sprint among the available movement options.

Which maps and modes were part of Season 01?
Area 99 was the new Resurgence map
The Season 01 overview named Area 99 as the new Resurgence map. Call of Duty described it as inspired by the fast-paced Multiplayer map Nuketown.
Urzikstan and Rebirth Island returned
The overview also identified Urzikstan and Rebirth Island as returning Warzone maps during the season. It announced Battle Royale on Urzikstan with 120 players; that was a launch-era detail, not a statement of the current player count.

Battle Royale, Resurgence, and Plunder were among the initial mode offerings. Ranked Play and limited-time modes were planned to arrive as the season progressed, so their mention in the overview should not be read as meaning they were all available on launch day.
What weapon balance changes did the notes include?
The patch-notes page contains weapon-specific adjustments rather than one uniform change to the arsenal. One example is a Season 01 adjustment to the Saug Akimbo attachment; the page also lists other individual weapon changes. These entries need to be read weapon by weapon: the notes do not support saying that all weapons were broadly buffed or broadly nerfed.

What changed in audio and the interface?
Audio updates
- Enhanced Headphone Mode with HRTF became available to all players for free. The notes describe an in-game feature and do not require or recommend a particular physical headset.
- New audio was added for armor-plate breaks.
- The proximity-chat radius was reduced from 55 meters to 45 meters in the Season 01 notes.
Interface updates
Warzone received a revised interface integrated with Black Ops 6. The notes describe primary game tiles and Store and Battle Pass tabs that route players according to the content they have installed.
