The developer said a limited set of Arknights: Endfield PayPal orders had an inconsistency between payment orders and item delivery. It said it disabled PayPal and began full refunds for orders placed during a specified window on January 2026. The public statement does not independently confirm that every refund was completed, explain the technical cause, or establish whether PayPal was later restored.
What happened with Arknights: Endfield PayPal purchases?
In a statement linked from the official Arknights: Endfield account, the developer said the issue affected a small number of PayPal purchases made through the official launcher and PayPal top-ups at topup.gryphline.com. It described an inconsistency between an order and delivery of the purchased items, and said only a limited set of orders was affected.
The detailed timeline below is the developer’s account, with times given in UTC+8. The statement was reproduced in a community Reddit post linking to the official X post; the timeline has not been independently verified against transaction records.
- 9:58 AM: The developer said it received the first player report.
- 11:05 AM: It said PayPal was disabled.
- 6:20 PM: It said its review of PayPal transactions was complete.
- 6:30 PM: It said full refunds began for orders created from 9:36:51 AM through 11:05:36 AM.
The developer expected refunds to complete within four hours and asked players who did not receive one to email [email protected] with their server and UID. That was an expected timeframe, not independent confirmation of the final refund outcome.

I topped up successfully, but haven’t received my items. What should I do?
Use the steps for the platform or payment route you actually used. GRYPHLINE’s help center gives different activation and account checks for each route; do not repeat a payment where its guidance says not to.
Website or PC-client top-up
The help center says some payment methods can be delayed. Check your bank account to see whether the entry is a pending or authorized hold rather than a completed charge. For a hold, contact your bank about its release.

The official support article lists three options: in-game through Settings > Platform & Account > Contact Customer Support, the CONTACT US link on the official website, or email. For the January PayPal incident, the developer specifically asked players who did not receive a refund to email [email protected] and include their server and UID.

A September 15, 2026 notice about the limited Steam playtest also directs players to the in-game support route and [email protected]. For those Steam playtest issues, it asks players to include UID, server, device specifications, a description of the issue, and relevant screenshots or recordings.
Does the later Steam playtest mean PayPal was restored?
No such conclusion follows from the September 15, 2026 Steam notice. It announced a limited-access playtest with in-game purchases enabled, using Steam payment methods. The notice said the Steam version used live servers, with content, account data, and progress synced across platforms, and that purchases and progress would be retained. That is specific to the playtest; it does not say PayPal was re-enabled or that the January issue happened again.
