“It Starts in Nod-Krai” was a limited-time HoYoverse web event promoting Genshin Impact’s Version Luna I and its new Nod-Krai region. Its Journey Invitation phase ran from August 29 to September 24, 2025 (UTC+8); eligible players needed Adventure Rank 10 or higher. The event has ended, so its rewards can no longer be claimed.
What was the Nod-Krai web event?
“It Starts in Nod-Krai” was a browser-based promotion connected to the rollout of Version Luna I, not an in-game quest or story chapter. HoYoverse’s official notice described the event as account-linked reward content and cautioned that it did not represent actual game story, settings, or confirmed gameplay features. HoYoverse’s event notice and event disclaimer provide the details.
When did it run, and who could participate?
The Journey Invitation phase ran August 29–September 24, 2025, ending at 23:59 (UTC+8). Participation required Adventure Rank 10 or higher, a HoYoverse account login, and selection of the correct Genshin Impact character for reward delivery. The event is now over; the notice said rewards could not be claimed after it ended.
What rewards were available?
| Track | Availability (UTC+8) | Published reward |
|---|---|---|
| New Version “Luna I” Pre-Registration | August 29–September 10, 2025, 05:59:59 | Primogems ×100, plus other in-game rewards |

How does the event relate to Nod-Krai?
Version Luna I introduced Nod-Krai as a new region, including Lempo Isle, Hiisi Island, and Paha Isle. The update also added the Meeting Point system and the Luna Treasure Compass, which progressively reveals Oculi, treasures, and clues as Meeting Point levels increase. PlayStation’s Version Luna I launch announcement dated the update’s release to September 10, 2025.

Do not treat its card text, screenshots, or promotional framing as confirmed lore or a promise about future mechanics. HoYoverse explicitly stated: “The content of the event does not represent any actual story or settings in the game,” and said it was not indicative of related gameplay features. The event promoted Nod-Krai and account-linked rewards; it was not a reliable source for what happens in the game’s story.
