Toxic Gunner’s original event unlock is no longer available. The official Tower Defense Simulator wiki records later 699 Robux gamepass offers, but also says the pass went off sale on April 3, 2026, and returned on May 22, 2026. Those entries do not confirm whether it is purchasable now, so check the in-game shop. If you own the tower, placing and fully upgrading one costs $19,025 in match cash.
How do you unlock Toxic Gunner?
Toxic Gunner was originally unlocked by triumphing Trick or Threat Town during the Halloween 2020 event. That event route ended with the event and is not a current way to obtain the tower.
The official wiki records later offers through a 699 Robux gamepass, including an offer on December 23, 2025. Its update history says the pass went off sale on April 3, 2026, then returned on May 22, 2026. Because those are historical entries—not a live shop check—look in the TDS in-game shop to see whether the pass is currently available and what it costs. A third-party guide also lists 699 Robux and says the old event unlock was removed; it is a cross-check, not proof of current availability. Game.Guide’s Toxic Gunner guide says its stats were checked against the wiki on August 3, 2026.
What does Toxic Gunner do?
Toxic Gunner is a ground tower that fires toxic bullets. Its effects include poison damage over time and a 10% slow at the base level. The official inventory description reads: “Shoot a burst of poison bullets that slow down enemies!”

- Hidden detection: not available.
- Defense reduction: at Level 3, poison ticks melt 3% defense per tick, up to a 50% cap.
That detection profile matters when planning a defense: Toxic Gunner can cover Lead enemies from placement onward and Flying enemies after its Level 3 upgrade, but it cannot handle Hidden enemies by itself.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. When is Toxic Gunner useful?
The official strategy discussion presents Toxic Gunner as a possible early- or mid-game damage option and as a support tower later on. Its slow and poison can contribute ongoing pressure, while its Level 3 defense reduction may complement high-damage towers such as Ranger and Accelerator. That is qualitative guidance, not a guarantee of a particular tier, win rate, or best-in-slot status.
