Castorice is a five-star Quantum character on the Remembrance path, released in version 3.2, whose damage setup centers on HP-based mechanics and Netherwing, her memosprite. Because that damage and the team’s survival are connected, her build is not simply a matter of maximizing generic damage stats.
Which Light Cone should Castorice use?
Make Farewells More Beautiful is the leading option in HSR-Build’s September 26, 2026 ranking. Its listed 123.10% at S1 is a relative damage ratio against the lowest option in that ranking, not a universal damage increase or an independent test result. The ratios depend on the guide’s comparison setup, including team and superimposition.

HSR-Build says its ranking rephrases Prydwen’s in-play rankings. Prydwen notes that off-path Light Cones with Base HP of 1376, 1270, or 1164 can be competitive because of their Base HP; that observation does not make every such cone equivalent to Castorice’s leading options. Review your actual stats and buffs before choosing a CRIT Rate cone, especially if your build is already near its desired in-combat rate. Best relics, ornaments, and stats
Relic set: Poet of Mourning Collapse
Use the four-piece Poet of Mourning Collapse set as the default. Prydwen says Castorice can play slower and that her in-combat 40% Speed boost does not interfere with the four-piece condition. HSR-Build likewise lists Poet as its core set. Honkai Builds places Longevous Disciple and Genius of Brilliant Stars behind Poet in its relic ordering, so consider those alternatives when your available pieces make a substantially stronger overall build rather than assuming they outrank the recommended set.
Planar ornaments and main stats
HSR-Build recommends Bone Collection’s Serene Demesne as the core planar ornament set and describes it as providing HP and CRIT DMG effects. Use a CRIT DMG body, HP% feet, HP% or Quantum DMG sphere, and HP% rope. The sphere choice is a practical comparison between HP investment and Quantum damage; use the option that gives your finished build the better result rather than treating one as mandatory.

Substats and Speed
Prioritize CRIT DMG and CRIT Rate, then HP%. Keep SPD below 95 as appropriate to Poet’s condition; pushing Speed for its own sake can work against the set’s intended use. Honkai Builds gives targets of 7000+ HP, 100% in-combat CRIT Rate, and +150% CRIT DMG. Treat these as that guide’s goals, not universal thresholds: team buffs, equipment, and investment change what your character sheet and combat stats need.

Updated guides do not agree on a single premium lineup. HSR-Build recommends Tribbie, Ruan Mei, and Hyacine alongside Castorice, while Eneba’s September 2026 guide recommends Evernight, Cyrene, and Hyacine. These alternatives reflect roster and synergy choices, not proof that one lineup wins in every account or encounter. Honkai Builds also lists an accessible team and a dual-damage-dealer option.

- Check sustain first: Castorice’s damage setup is tied to HP-based mechanics, and Netherwing’s own HP is part of its damage cycle. Honkai Builds describes Netherwing as consuming its HP to deal damage and says it can take damage in place of an ally in danger. - Match supports to the roster: Compare the available buffs and synergy for Castorice and Netherwing, as well as whether the lineup includes the sustain you need.
- Decide your damage structure: Use the dedicated carry options if you want to center the team on Castorice; consider Mydei with Tribbie and Gallagher if you prefer the listed dual-DPS setup.
