The report does not establish the footage’s provenance or confirm executions. Separately, EA has officially described enhanced destruction as a Battlefield 6 feature that can reshape combat zones and open new routes.
What the reported footage appears to show
On September 2, 2025, GameSpot’s Chris Compendio reported that roughly nine minutes of footage, watermarked by a Bilibili user, appeared to show an early build of Battlefield’s battle-royale mode. GameSpot said it could have come from a recent Battlefield Labs test, but presented that as a possibility—not a confirmed source or build identity. Read GameSpot’s report.
According to the report, the footage includes a loading screen and loadout menu, an airdrop onto a large map, swimming, environmental pop-in, grenades, ziplines and a ladder gadget. It also describes a player using a sledgehammer to break through bathroom walls. These are details attributed to GameSpot’s account of the apparent leak, not independently verified gameplay observations.
Does the footage confirm Battlefield 6 executions?
No. The cited report describes destruction and other apparent battle-royale gameplay, but does not say that executions appear. EA’s official feature announcements and PlayStation’s game description also do not establish that this footage shows executions. The executions part of the headline is therefore unverified by the available reporting.
