Battlefield 6’s first major patch was Update 1.1.1.0, also called the Season 1 Update by EA. It targeted movement, weapon accuracy, visibility, audio, the HUD, and reliability across maps and modes. EA published the notes on October 24, 2025, and scheduled the patch for October 28; this is historical coverage, not a report on the game’s current update.
When did the Battlefield 6 patch arrive?
EA scheduled Update 1.1.1.0 to go live on all platforms on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at 09:00 UTC. Season 1 content, including the Battle Pass and seasonal features, was scheduled to unlock at 15:00 UTC. Players could continue playing after installing the patch while waiting for that content to open. EA called it the “Season 1 Update”; “first major patch” is an editorial description, not the official update name. EA’s Update 1.1.1.0 notes set out the timing and changes.
This patch is not the latest Battlefield 6 update. In a community update dated September 30, 2026, EA was already previewing Season 5. EA’s Season 5 update provides that later context.
What changed in Update 1.1.1.0?
Movement and animations
EA adjusted movement and animation behavior to make actions feel more consistent. The notes include smoother landings, faster transitions between stances, improved vaulting, and fixes for bouncing after landing or spawning. Specific corrections addressed combat dives uphill, entering ziplines at high speed, ladders and camera behavior, hitbox alignment, steady aim, and weapon or camera sway. The full EA changelog lists the individual fixes.

Weapon dispersion and handling
Weapon tuning aimed to make accuracy and handling better match each weapon’s intended role and range. EA changed dispersion across damage profiles and fixed cases where it did not settle correctly after sprinting. The notes also describe adjustments to how non-Recon classes handle sniper rifles, along with fixes involving sights and bipods.
In its pre-patch community update, EA said dispersion could remain elevated when players fired immediately after sprinting while zoomed, and could increase too quickly as players began moving. Those are the developer’s explanations of the problems the update targeted, not independent measurements of how much accuracy changed in live play. EA’s October 24, 2025 community update also identified weapon balance and aim assist as areas of focus.

Visibility and lighting
The update adjusted exposure transitions and interior lighting, and reduced the persistence of fog and smoke. The changes addressed complaints EA had described about harsh outdoor light, dark interiors, and visibility around optics. They were intended to improve readability; EA’s notes do not provide before-and-after measurements of visibility or player performance.
Audio
Audio changes added projectile flybys and destruction and explosion sounds, refined the mix for weapons and vehicles, and improved haptic feedback. These changes were part of a broader effort to make combat sounds and feedback clearer.

Before the patch, EA described overall performance and the combat experience as immediate priorities. Its October 24 community update discussed ongoing work on dispersion, weapon balance, visibility, aim assist, and progression. EA’s stated goal for dispersion was to make accuracy more closely reflect a weapon’s intended performance at different ranges. The patch notes document the changes EA made, but do not report quantified post-update results or establish how every player experienced them.
