Battlefield 6 Update 1.1.1.0 focused on smoother movement, weapon-handling adjustments, and fixes across five named maps. EA published the notes on October 24, 2025, and scheduled the update for October 28 at 09:00 UTC, ahead of the Season 1 launch and Battle Pass content at 15:00 UTC that day. Those are the original rollout times, not an upcoming schedule. EA’s official Battlefield 6 update announcement is the source for the patch’s documented changes.
What Update 1.1.1.0 changed
EA’s changelog describes a broad update, but its most substantial player-facing changes concern traversal and animations, weapon dispersion and aiming, and map- and mode-specific problems. The notes document intended fixes and adjustments; they do not establish measured competitive results or guarantee a particular change in how the game feels for every player.
Movement and player animations
The movement changes target reliability and transitions rather than a general increase in movement speed. EA highlighted smoother landings, faster stance transitions, improved vaulting, and fewer bounce problems when landing or spawning. The detailed Player notes address several specific interruptions and inconsistencies:
- Combat dives that could break when used uphill.
- Players detaching from ziplines at high speed.
- Movement interrupting steady aim, along with lingering jump inaccuracy.
- Vaulting failures and landing paths that could shift sideways.
- Inconsistent peeking and transitions into prone.
The same section includes animation and camera polish, such as fixes involving sliding through door openings and camera jitter on ladders. Taken together, these are traversal, transition, and presentation fixes—not a stated blanket speed buff.

Weapon handling and dispersion
Dispersion adjusted by damage profile
EA says weapon dispersion was rebalanced to better reflect each weapon’s damage profile across ranges. The direction is differentiated: lower-damage weapons receive a slightly greater increase in dispersion during fire, while higher-damage weapons receive slightly less. The notes do not give numerical dispersion values or identify a universal change that applies equally to every weapon.
Aiming and automatic-weapon reticle settling
Steady aim and sight centering were improved. EA also adjusted automatic-weapon reticle settling, with the stated aim of making burst firing more efficient. These are handling changes; the announcement does not provide test data quantifying their effect.

Sniper rifles used outside Recon
For sniper rifles used by classes other than Recon, the update removes the extra weapon spread during the zoom transition and introduces weapon sway instead. EA presents the change as a way to maintain balance while preserving Recon’s precision advantage. It is a specific rule change, not a claim that sniper rifles handle identically across all classes.
Map and mode fixes
Beyond the named locations, the Maps & Modes notes cover lingering fog and smoke, indoor-to-outdoor exposure transitions, insertion sequences across maps, spawn bouncing in Escalation, and mode UI problems. The changelog identifies these map-specific fixes:

Other areas covered in the changelog
Update 1.1.1.0 also includes changes to visibility and lighting, audio and haptics, UI/HUD, vehicles, gadgets, settings, single-player, and Portal. Examples listed by EA include overtime indicators and unlock markers, audio-mix and flyby changes, a Firing Range exit fix, and an improvement to Portal server-browser loading. The movement, weapon, and map sections are therefore part of a wider update rather than the complete scope.
